Is your PC powerful enough? I've recently played KH 1, FF12, ICO (with some minor lag and a glitches at the start of the game), and Shadows of the Collosus at fullspeed 1080p 4-8x AA. I also have tested DQVIII, Rogue Galaxy, and Ratchet and Clank (the first one) they ran well, but haven't played all the way through. Emulation is never perfect, but I'd definitely recommend PS2 emulation to people who don't want to rebuy their games, but wouldn't mind rendering them at 1080p with better effects, assuming they have a good enough PC for it.

My pc runs fine, well ico didnt start at all for me. Shadow of the collossus was fine but the ps3 version runs at 30 frames without any drop so i dont see the point why i should prefer pc emulation. Games like devil may cry 1 had the cutscenes being stuck and at the end the timestop item and its effect makes the entire screen gray when used.
Its stuff like that is why i dont like emulation, you never know if there some item or some thing that isnt running like it is supposed to be because the originaal hardware rendered it differently and other things. The ps3 hd version of devil may cry 1 runs better but the ending where you see see the cathetral ground is also rendered wrong, it doesnt show reflection if remember correctly. Some hd collections run fine or even better like shadow of the collossus but some are horible or have issues like devil may cry or the silent hill hd collection.
In the end i just bought a ps2, its not that expensive with component cables and neither is the game devil may cry 1.
