Sex, drugs, and rock 'n roll.

Just kidding.

Things that stimulate me mentally, but don't overwork me, if that makes sense.

I think that's why I like video games so much. They're mentally stimulating (more-so than a book or movie) but don't make you think too hard (unless you're playing a puzzle game or PvP game).

Having quiet time is nice. I'm introverted so being around people for too long grinds on me; it's nice to just sit down, relax, and think.

And Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd always put me in a nice, reverential mood.

That actually completely makes sense, and can lead to what's described as a state of flow. I've experienced it a few times, it requires a task that's mentally stimulating, requires a certain level of skill, but is still manageable.

Money (I'm keepin' it real)

-The company of my close friends ( been friends for more than 14 years, the majority of our lives).

-Almost any form of art that has a deep meaning. Could even be a song, game, movie, book...

-The sense of achievement in general.

-Good manners and ethics in general make me happy when I witness them.

-The winter, especially the rain.

The mothers dinners will make me happy till the day I die and the GF too.

Other things such as playing games I like, playing online with friends. Various sports teams I follow doing well as well as some sport teams I dislike doing bad.

My fav gaming company doing good as well as my least fav gaming company doing bad.

Drunken nights out with friends.

Working out in the gym and playing with my football team.

Loads of shit makes me happy. Money isn't one of them. You think it is but when you start making a lot of it you realize how shit money is, especially giving half of it to the government that have been pretty shit over all my whole life.

The reason I made this thread is because I don't know what makes me happy. I don't know if anything makes me happy.

Gaming is the one thing that, albeit doesn't make me happy, keeps me from feeling sad. The people who make me happy are bad for me most of the time or forget about me and ignore me when I'm in need. They're unreliable and don't know what it does to me. My family... well that's a story unto itself but I've never felt close to them and they make me miserable if anything.

I'm on a bit of a journey to put myself together and I was hoping something could inspire me. Because all the advice I get is to do things that make me happy or do things for myself. But I don't have a sense of self and my sense of self worth is at its lowest. I've been working out for the last two months and I feel no more confident than when I started and no happier.

I just don't know what to do.

You should become more out going and you'll inevitably meet people with different interests. You said you've been working out, imo the gym is one of the easiest places to make new friends. I met a guy at the gym who's really into guns, whenever I see him there he'll always talk about guns and keeps asking me to try it out if I have some free time. I tried it last week and I think I found another hobby.

My first time, last week.(9mm)

2nd time, yesterday(.40cal)

And we met a group there who's also into archery and ask us to try it out aswell.
