Er, so Level-5 is combining all three versions?

We do it with Pokémon all the time.

I have no recollection of anyone doing such a thing... perhaps when comparing different gens to one another...

Amazing! They need to release it as soon as possible on this side of the globe. If they market it the right way, this series can be big here too.

It's really hard to localize. It contains so much from Japanese folklore and tradition, which is extremely hard to convey in a way that makes sense and is understandable to foreigners. (If it was a book, it would need a ton of footnotes and explanations, which is pretty hard to do for a game.)

Of course if you don't care about all that it's just a monster collecting RPG like any other...

No never once^ If they did Pokemon gen 1 be a 45mil+ seller.

They're the same game. If people are stupid enough to fall for it 3 times then that's their fault.

I was one of those people ;)

With the emphasis on was.

You switch the topic^ Dengle ask if they combined all 3 for YW2. You replied yes and pokemon does the same. ← This is wrong.

As for this reply^ 2 versions are the same game with minor differences. Its a game made to make players trade for exclusive pokemon/item/etc. Its not Nintendo's fault you bought the same game. I had always gotten 1 game, but now i get 2 for me and my brother.

As for the third/enhanced version (Last one made btw was over 6 years ago) it has alot more differences to make it the same game. Especially for Competitive players.

Nope, not once. He is referring to the pair versions which is indeed one game. Third/Enchanced versions are different games, they arent combined. Capcom doesn't combine Enchanced versions either. Level 5 i dont think does, but maybe this time they wanted to point out the 5mil figure. Either way they shipped+sold 6mil YW this year when you combine YW1 in there (250k in jan, now over 1.2mil last i recall)

If this last game is just an updated version, then it's the version that will arrive to the west. Can someone tell me the differences between Ganso/Honke and 2.5?

You know it deserves the GOTY.

That's why I don't see this ever being like Pokemon.  Youkai Watch is highly context-dependent with ties to folklore.  Even the name is iirc.  Plust the art style...I don't see that going over as well as the Pokemon one.
