Still has a while until caught up with the 360. Definitely some great games coming out though. I think some games for the Wii have real potential.

it's only now we're seeing that although most if not all Wii third party games are not front loaded they're showing some legs with Sega having 2 million plus sellers, Ubisoft will have 3 before long (probably 4 by year end as we all know Red Steel 2 will get released at some point in 08), Capcom having their second RE shipped 1 million plus and that will be their 2nd million plus seller and EA with My Sims, Tiger Woods series (does anybody really know what thats sold on the Wii as their not being tracked) and Smarty Pants.

All of these titles named above are still showing no signs of slowing and haven't even montioned GH3 yet.

Companies are now finding their feet with Wii games and things will only get better.

How many million sellers did the 360 have at 67 weeks, I wonder? I'd estimate less than 20... Not that this would really mean a lot; just that the Wii is moving at a faster pace than the 360 did at the same point in its lifespan, a moot point since the generation basically started with the 360's launch and everybody else has had to play catch-up.

Sky Render - Sanity is for the weak.

This needs a digg...

Thanks to the Wii for proving even shitty games can consistently sell good on it and perpetuate more crappy games being made for it.

Yeah, I get tired of all these shitty games selling well.  See, I can give opinions as fact too?

In other news, Sonic and the Secret Rings was actually a decent game. The main issues were its lack of a backup camera and a stupid RPG system that forced you to buy better controls. If they get rid of those for the (inevitable) sequel, it will be the best 3D Sonic game ever.

I liked the party game part of Secret Rings. It moved faster than Mario Party. However, the control was off in a lot of the party mini-games. The actually game had a good look and feel but I didn't figure out the control in the 30 min. I tried it. All in all, a bad rental. Lego Star Wars was a much better rental. I played it for 6 hours and even got someone else to play along for 4 of those and 2 other people played it for another hour.

Secret Rings = 5 hours play time
Lego Star Wars = 12 hours play time

I would never recommend Secret Rings to anyone. I'm gonna try Warioware for my next mini-game fix.

As for titles selling well on the Wii, of course.  The Wii is quickly becoming the main console and will gain 50% of the market at some point.

Yea well you and all the other people who bought the shitty rehashed Halo 3 should not be talking about any game on the Wii.  Granted the Wii does have a lot of crappy games, you people(Halo 3 owners) should not be talking about shitty games that sell well considering the highest selling 360 game is crap.  This is an opinion much like your post.

None of the 20 that reached one mil are crappy.  It could be argued that some deserved closer to 500K in sales, but that's the advantages of taking the risk at launch with a new console, and the console doing well...  Not tons of great games for the wii yet, so good games sell as well as great games on other platforms.  The wii library is growing the fastest of the current gen consoles, and so with more competition, only the highest quality games will continue to sell well

Thanks to the wii for proving that people are interested in more than just wii sports for their console of choice.
