Forums - Gaming Discussion - dragon age inquisition help!!

I can't figure out how to kill any of these dragons. I have it on casual and I'm a female level 13 mage. I would have thought it would been way easier then this. I know were a few dragons are located. I know were the dragons are in crestwood and the hitherlands. the dragons are just way to powerful and no matter what I do,I get destroyed pretty easily. I don't want to kill all the dragons, but I'd just like to kill one of them. what's the easiest dragon to kill? Should I just do some more grinding? what are some tips? anything will be helpful, thanks!

take vivienne and blackwall.

Hi there, I used to have the same problem as you on casual. The problem is you can't really win against the dragons unless you're on the same level or higher.

There used to be an exploit using Sera's cooldown resetting flask and thousand cuts which destroyed these dragons almost regardless of party level.

Your best bet now is just to level up and only do dragons commensurate with your own party level. Use Sera's thousand cuts and your own focus spell (the first one you get). Having Vivienne or playing as Knight Enchanter is also supposed to help.

Good luck.

I'll try those things,thanks .

Just gain more levels, that's how I have been going at it. I already defeated 2 dragons without any strategy or game pausing at all. Also bring a lot of potions and force them down your stupid AI friend's throats.

Yeah, simple enough, level up. I didn't take on a dragon until I was like lvl 15 or 16 (Crestwood, beat them first time but spent a lot of time reviving people. :P), not going to do any on my second playthrough until later levels anyway.

My issue with this is that I've no idea what level the dragons or any enemy is, I mean the game tells you story area levels but not general area levels and Dragons should be that area plus 1 (Id' say but was on lvl 20 and the Storm Coast Dragon just kicked my arse).

Hmm, pie.

There's a guide on Pstrophies.

Yeah but that's the point, I shouldn't have to go online to a trophy hunting website to find out if I'm just useless at killing the dragon or it's 5 levels above the area it's in.  Just a level indication on the areas would help.

There are recommended levels, but you're right, they're not very well signposted

So here's what I did, I took Dorian, Blackwall and Iron Bull (I haven't changed my party since I got them) along with my archer Rogue. I was level 12 fighting in Crestwood. Fought for 2 minutes. Used all my potions. Used stealth. Ran away...

Probably not hugely helpful

Kudos for using the same party as me :)

We're one of the few poor souls who can't effectively use Sera in our party.
