Well its absolute inevitable that the PS3 will take the Wii. The PS3 will take the Xbox 360 as well but it will take a bit longer. Definitely by mid year though.

It will with a year less in the market compared with 360... launch aligned it needs just to pass Wii.

That's not proof of anything.  

Well I already mentioned a prime example of a very undertracked 360 game with DOA 4 and there are many more can't think of any PS3 game that is that heavily undertracked.

The Last of Us is insanely undertracked. (they said over 7M long ago, PS3 only)
Gran Turismo 6 is probably the same.
Uncharted 3 is also probably decently undertracked.

I'm using the numbers the site provides us, as always, feel free to doubt them as much as you like, as we won't ever have the exact numbers.


With all of those the only reason they are undertracked is probably because it doesn't include digital sales.  Also they are not in the same league as DOA 4 which is over 50% undertracked.

GT5 & GT6 combined under tracking is huge. TLOU about 2M retail. Many more games and lots of the 1st year ps3 releases don't even have numbers for specific regions. So for example they will be missing EU sales. Launches aligned PS3 is doing better than 360 and with way less game releases. That's a fact.

from the present moment which is the time we are both living in right now, it will easily catch the wii. That's pretty straight forward.

Easily will pass both. If you consider how severely PS3 software is under-tracked it will beat 360 in reality before VGC numbers show it.

no it's the right choice of words. you just used the wrong interpretation. the comment was made in 2015 not 2006. And it will be proved right. PS3 made up 4M on the Wii last week alone despite the Wii's decent showing of 2.3M.
