It's caught up a lot this year and let's not forget November is always Xbox's strongest time relative to Playstation so the gap will close more as the rest of the year passes.

It'll pass Wii, but 360 retail... I don't think so. They might tie.

Including digital however, no way does PS3 pass 360.

Doubt it will pass the 360 in software sale the PS3 doesn't have many more big titles left to surpass the 360.

I voted for it to pass the Wii but not the 360. I think it has a good chance but if you held a gun to my head and made me choose I'd pick the 360.

PS3 has done well since it released a year after in the US compared to 360 and 1 and a half years late in the EU. But yeah it's mad the way 360 and PS3 will end up above the Wii in total software. How things change.

So PS3 to pass Wii Out easily but the 360 gap to close a lot and be a very close race.

Just checked and PS3 has closed the gap 21 million this year already.

21million on the Wii or 360? 

Because if that's just on the 360 then it has a chance. Especially when you consider the 360 usually sold more software this time of the year but so far (up to the end of november) the PS3 has easily sold more.

oh shit there's only 37 million between PS3 and 360. Didn't think it was that small. Gap should be down to 35 million by Jan 1st. This will be a very interesting battle. 

PS3 will beat Wii easy as the gap is only 30M and with December coming up that gap will be down to about 15M come Jan 1st. 

Last gen was a one in a kind with 3 consoles being so close in many diff ways. 

yeah and to add to that you had the PSP selling 82 million and the DS selling 140M. Never again will that happen. There;s room for 1 big console, 1 in second selling well and 1 handheld doing OK numbers. 

Of course it will be surpass Wii software numbers, Wii don't have nearly any software releases about 2 years, while PS3/Xbox 360 still getting AAA games like Destiny, COD..
