the Last of US digital sales are also huge.

Titanfall was on sale for $10, and the Deleuxe Edition was $12.50. The game had to sell huge with those discounts.

..whoa. they got that desperate in less than year? And it was crowned the greatest new IP last year...

You are comparing a remake of a game that came out last year to a new IP that was marketed through the heavens?

Great games selling a gotg is one thing (and in general all the games you listed are great besides maybe CoD). While TLOUR with as much negative press and people calling it unworthy is a different situation. The Point being games dubbed trash aren't expected to outsell game dubbed gotg.

lol, what "negative press" did LoUR get? Who called it "trash"? And since when is I myself dubbing Titanfall GOTG here on this forum, a quantifiable unit of measurement in terms of sales expectations? I wasn't aware that me naming a game something meant it had universal impact on its sales expectations. LOL.

You understood it was sarcastic by yourself because I wasn't. And my question was for people in general because it was the common expectation before launch of the savior.

BS. If your question was "for people in general" then don't ask me directly with my name in the question.

8 million in sales is hardly irrelevant. Plus I never said sales = quality, just that a lot of people expected gotg > undeserving remaster. Matter of fact, how many remasters outsold the gotg of a gen?

i use gotg as the best game of a gen, some would use as the game that defined the gen (cod would be a serious contender with GTA for gen 7), how do you use it?

And I asked you namely because you said many expected TLOUR to outsell TF. But I would say that was after TF had weak numbers. Because the hype level of x1 fans were for it selling quite stronger and If TLOUR was announced before TF release even less people would say TF would be outsold by it during hype days.

Oh, so now you did ask me namely? Make up your mind please. LOL still going on about sales. Again, when it comes to GOTG, GOTY, etc, sales are 100% irrelevant. You have games like Bayonetta 2, Dark Souls II, Child of Light, etc being nominated for GOTY in various forms, none of which are anywhere near the top sellers of 2014. And whenever this gen ends you can rest assured the game most people think was the best of the gen, won't be the one that sold the most copies.

So when you ask me directly "LOOL Ludicrouspeed u didnt expect GOTG Titanfall to outsell trash lame junk lour", I can easily just remind you that sales are completely 100% irrelevant when it comes to GOTG. I hope that helps.

TLOU did get game of the year in 2013.  Some would consider this game to be the game of last gen......  And TLOU PS3+PS4+digital sales will likely shoot past 10 million.

TLOU R, and that's pretty impressive considering the release date

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

I wouldn't call that desperate, but whatever floats your boat.

Don in fairness it's not like it was just X1 fans who would have predicted Titanfall to win this battle. The hype it got ade it sound like it would sell 5/6 million first year. Obviously it's been a massive disappointment in terms of the sales it got. They are not bad but certainly nowhere near what most people expected.

Meanwhile TLOUR is going to sell more lifetime and who would have expected that! It's good to see though because a complete game like TLOU deserves sales more than a game which was released with a rushed multiplayer and an excuse of a campaign.

If I said only Xbox fans expected great sales from it I'm sorry it wasn't what I meant. I were referring to most people in general expected great sales for TF. The only difference between Sony and MS fans were regarding boost, which only one side believed it would help a lot and was wrong.

On the other hand several people doubted TLOUR would do good because the og was too recent and not improved enough to justify double dip or buying ps4 for it, they were clearly mistaken.

Both combinates in common expectation was TF > TLOUR among most users even in Sony corner, which make the achievement sweeter.

I'll have both! Ordered TLoU from Amazon.com and it should be here by Tuesday.

I'm gonna go with TLoU, though. I got it for PS3 and couldn't get into it (PS4 version will get my full attention) but the game has a dedicated following and little competition in its genre. Meanwhile Titanfall has to share the spotlight with Halo, Destiny, and Call of Duty. It's already at budget price but I don't see it gaining a lot of attention. Titanfall seemed like a front loaded title and, while I enjoyed it, the hype is dying down.

If you didn't saw all the bad press and countless thread bashing TLOUR I'm sorry but that don't make they disappear. Won't be able to search links on phone. You may have invented the gotg for TF but wasn't the sole user. And several users predicted x1 to catch up to Ps4 because of TF and its bundle, I don't see how they expected it without great sales. And if gotg for you isn't over sales or score what defines a gotg?

I can't ask people in general in a thread you are the only one saying it. I was asking you namely how many people predicted TLOUR would outsell TF before TF lukewarm release. Read my 1st post to you without assuming sarcasm.

Please stop trying to spin and only answering what you want and even invent questions I didn't make. I know quality and sales aren't necessarily linked. And people remember CoD and GTA well enough but not much some niche goty. But the best fps in history underselling a remake from the company that some say don't know how to sell 1st party wasn't expected much less granted. Name one goty or gotg fps that sold less than TF. And Xbox fans always praised ms exclusive sales and their marketing strength for sw, what happened?

Also remember some claiming ps fans were jealous TF would sell better than any ps game. You forgot them all?

I really feel like the hype dying down is a good thing for the franchise. It will take pressure off Respawn when developing the next installment and hopefully this will show them exactly what went wrong and how they can fix it moving forward. There is definitely some potential here, just needs to be utilized correctly.
