Huh, never really realized the spine of the box cover was such a big deal for people loll. I just use it to pick out the game I want to play, not stare at it my whole life

if youre the kind of gamer that doesnt give a shit about having the box and instructions, then you wouldnt care, but if you like having a nice looking collection with complete games in good condition, then yes its a big deal. when you put this shit on display, it makes a huge difference. nntendo games are supposed to be about fun, but you dont get that impression about them when the spines are just gray bolded text. it doesnt look fun at all. i want the spines to reflect something about the game, because yes, it is much more pleasing to look at.

I thought thats what the box art at the front was for... I like colorful things but not once did I ever think to myself, gee, you know what needs more work, the side of the box whoes soul purpose is to make sure I can pick out the game quickly by having clear text thats easy to read. Heck, I pick out the game and the box art is right there before I open it

The (?) stands for sarcasm, irony, you know :p

That being said, I actually agree with you, but it's not a big deal for me, really.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

is their reasoning for this to have clear text that is easy to read? if thats the case, then im glad for the understanding and it certainly frustrates me less.. but the logos that they make for these games look so cool, and i would love for them to be displayed.

oh lol. sorry. but anyways, its annoying and i just like character. gray bolded spines lack character. its just disappointing.

It actually is a big deal for me. I like to arrange my games in such a way that the spine art is always visible. I love to stare at my games for no reason. I have yet to buy a Wii U, but at least I know I can't expect much from the spine arts.
