My favorite is, A link to the past, Also will add I'm playing a link between 2 worlds and I love it too.
I voted NES. I bet Zelda 1 was really frustrating to people that had no guides.
i never beat a zelda game in my life so i am the least credible LOL but i would say the Wii from what i have heard from fans

You just removed all the fun of the thread, sir.
I had to go with DS, even though I kind of enjoyed what I played of phantom hourglass. For the other handheld ones I haven't played them so couldn't really take them into account. The only other option would have been NES, The original zelda was good but my god the second one was awful. Yeah should probably have gone with NES thinking about it.

Weird, Twilight Princess is my favorite Zelda game ever |
a question: Was it your first one?
For me the first one cannot be seen as a bad game since it is so much rewarding when you complete it just to find out that you can complete it again with an even harder difficulty! It is hard now to find a hard challenging game with good gameplay. People may find me crazy but I voted for 64 games (never owned a ds so I couldn't say if they were the worst games). I played throught OoT, it was ok fun, but for me MM made the 64 my choice since I hated that game. I didn't like the mask concept, the timer at the beginning is un bearable and the games color are to green/brown not colorful enought for a zelda title. Maybe I'm getting a bit to old...

Why is that? Nobody had a guide back in the day and everyone was able to finish the game. We had to use our memory and our head though, maybe that why it is hard for today's kid. Nowadays, if there's no detailed maps with all tresures and objectives listed, people stops playing the game and quickly turns to a game that takes you by the hand and autosaves every two minutes to make sure that you don't get bored to re-do something with their bad gameplay. Like I said before, I'm getting old ;)
DS as I never really felt the need to finish the first game and never bought ST
