Dreamcast was doing well. It was the implosion of the arcade scene which took Sega out of the market.

Wii/DS sold more than 250m, they maked bilions from that. 3DS is selling good, and now they make profit from Wii U, exept that, they alredy talked about their new consoles and they told that they will change things from Wii U.
Nintendo is not Sega, Nintendo is in better situation than Sony, last quarter they make larger profit than Sony gaming division. Wii U is selling bad, but it makes profit, is just another Nintendo mistake, its not first and surly its not last.

The Nintendo core base is MUCH larger than Sony and Microsoft's. The Wii U will outsell the Dreamcast no problem and Nintendo's stifness is paying off, profits tripeling this quarter. Carry on.

Well, they stopped manufacturing the console in 2001. It was removed from sale by 2002 outside of Japan and in Japan it was 3rd party releases that carried on until 2007, not new console sales etc. To be honest all the sales post January 2001 were stifled because they had already announced they were discontinuing it by then. The Wii U has already had a longer lifespan in the West.

They should just continue supporting the WiiU for another 3-4 years! Doesn't seem that hard to me!
