If the AI wasn't shit, I would agree. At times I really enjoy playing Driveclub....Until I get rammed off the track or the AI doubles its speed out of nowhere. It has great moments, and it has the best weather effects in any game (no matter the genre or platform), but fuck this game overall.

It does seem like they lessened the collision penalties (Didn't mind the cornering one) quite a bit though. They should take them out completely considering the AI can't resist colliding into you every chance it gets though.

The AI isn't shit if you drive well, but it doesn't scale down properly. It never doubles it speed out of nowhere, they can take a corner better and draft slingshot around you so it looks like that. I can do the same to them anyway. (Drafting is pretty exaggerrated) They only collide with me when I cut them off blocking their line, it's simple physics combined with AI that won't back down. Actually they'll sacrifice their line trying to out brake you, stopping you from passing them. Be in the right spot and they'll go wide, slow down in the grass and be far behind you after the corner. Once you accept the AI are just as much a bullie on the tracks as you, you'll find lots of ways to deal with them. You don't have to be a bullie though, I have also won plenty events with a clean event bonus.

I agree it can be very frustrating when you're just starting the game. Curse words were used and controllers were slightlyy harmed on my way to the legend trophy :/

Defend it all you want, the AI is awful. Even when I come out of a corner into a straightaway the AI has often rammed into the back of my car instead tried to overtake me. They even constantly bump into each other. The AI does double it's speed out of nowhere, and it's made obvious because they'll blow past you, then suddenly match your speed when they get one to two car lengths ahead of you. This is intentional to keep the races close, and it's been done since the first Motorstorm.

Yeah, I got the Legend Trophy a long time ago when I actually played the game regularly. Now I just play maybe one event a day to keep my aggravation down.

EDIT: Hm, it looks like I got the Legend Trophy only two weeks ago, but I could've sworn I got it in November. It also looks like  I Never  got credit for finishing the Semi-Pro trophy event. Weird.
