Driveclub is a fantastic arcade-racer which had a terrible launch and got punished for it in reviews and general perception. With November's content update, stable servers now, challenge mode and the recent weather update, Driveclub is now the game which it was meant to be at launch. The game is simply the best arcade track racer of the decade in my opinion, and reviews are definitely not indicative of its quality. If you have a PS4 and any interest in a track-based arcade racer, Driveclub is an absolute must-buy. Its now my 4th favourite game of the year.

The problem is, the majority of people are just going to hear about how broken it was when the game launched but having said that, I'm in agreement with you. Now its fully working, complete with weather and the other minor alterations they made to the game this really is a cracking racing game. There is no way its "now" worth its average score on a Website like Gamerankings (Currently 70%). Its considerably better than that.

It's now just as good if not better than the PGR series (which I think Driveclub most relates to in terms of content and the way it plays).

But, I suppose the developers only have themselves to blame if the low score impacts sales on a whole over a period of time. Simple answer, get it right out of the gate.

PREDICTIONS FOR END OF 2015: (Made Jan 1st 2015)

PS4 - 34M - XB1 - 21m - WII U -12M

Well they should re-release it in 2015 with new content. Give the content to existing owners for free.

I just bought my PS4 last week and I was going to try to wait for the PS+ edition of Driveclub or wait for the price to drop really low, all because some of the reviews really turned me off. Amazon has it on sale for $35 so I decided to pick it up and I played it last night, and I must say I'm having a blast so far and I haven't even touched the online portion yet

I did enjoy PGR 4.

While I have been put off by the negative coverage, I'll likely still buy it after Christmas

AC Unity also has the same problem. There's a pretty decent (and not shockingly broken) game hiding behind the wall of criticism, often by people who haven't played the game

Specifically a re-release so they can send it out to reviewers again

Actually, the online portion of the game worked fine when most critics were playing it. It got punished for other reasons.

The PS4 is a lacking notable racing games so people will buy Driveclub. But maybe an Arcade racer wasn't a good idea.

Series usually gets a lot of criticism, bugs turned it more vocal than before.

The funniest is still every french politician saying it's propaganda in the papers.

Did you even read the rest of the paragraph? Its an absolute must-have track based arcade racer. Its an amazing game with very good gameplay. Driveclub will sell because its a damn fine game.

Yeah but where is the fabled free ps plus edition?
