Now that Derick Rose is out for the rest of the season and the playoffs it just got even easier for the Cavs to win the East.

Yup Cavs are most likely going to the finals. I can see Atlanta giving them some trouble though. Ultimately I think it will be the Cavaliers and Warriors in the finals.

The West is pretty much wide open.  I'm thinking 6 out of the 8 teams that will make it into the playoffs have a legit shot in making it to the finals.  As for the Warriors if they have to play the Thunder in the first round I'm thinking they can easily get knocked out in the first round.

Chris Bosh will come back come playoff time. It will be a cinderella story. Heat/Cavs will bet the East finals and the Heat will win with the return of Bosh and go on to win that next ring...............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................It never hurts to dream a s a Heat fan does it lol.

If Bosh was healthy we probably could have seen a first round matchup between the (2) Cavs and (7) Heat. Sadly, there's no chance of that happening now.

The Bulls have not yet announced anything about D Rose being out for the year.  A sports doc on ESPN mentioned that if a repaired meniscus gets reinjured, 95% of the time they just snip off the injured part, rather than doing another full repair.  That means  its a minor surgery and Rose should return to the court in 6 wks.

It's Derrick Rose; the Bulls will obviously shut him down. He shut it down last year when he had the same injury even though he probably could have played in the playoffs. There's no reason to believe they'll handle it differently this time.

Last year he opted for the full repair of the meniscus, which entails a long rehab and recovery.  This time, as I paraphrased the Dr. on ESPN, it is very unlikely they can go that route once there is a reinjury, so they will snip a portion of the meniscus and Rose can return in several weeks.

As for the Bulls and Rose being "extra careful", this is not as serious as the ACL or waiting for the meniscus tissue to heal completely, its a totally different case.  In fact, the injury is so minor, he has been playing on it for a while and don't know when he (partially) tore it.  Rosewill feel better actually than he has all yr. We'll find out soon enough though.

I'd be happy to be wrong and see Rose back but I see the Bulls being overly cautious and shutting him down. Maybe if they reach the Conference Finals they'd bring him back if they haven't already.

Nah they would not have met in the first round. With that starting five of the Heat I think they would have made some noise and moved up about 2 spots. And in a seven game series I think they could have beat any other team in the East and possibly made it an Eastern finals match up against the Cavs. But yeah now with Bosh gone they will be lucky to even make the payoffs smh.

Even though its not going to be easy for the Spurs I'm thinking it will be the Spurs versus the Cavs in the finals with the Spurs winning in 6.
