Woah.... That's a miracle if I ever saw one,

It really isn't when you consider that there were more people that enjoyed FF XIII over Valkyria Chronicles ...

You don't hear love for FF XIII because it gets lost amongst the haughtiness of gamers and the same applies with a lot of other AAA franchises like COD or others ...

That part had to be a lie. Hahahaha xD

Au contraire, I was been serious ...

Once I'm done with Valkyria Chronicles, I'll probably end up giving it a 6/10 if that ...

Haven't played yet but if FFX is anything to judge by then it could possibly get an 8/10 ...

It's an average JRPG to me ...

There are probably better things for me to play such PS1/PS2 JRPGs and heck I might even get more enjoyment out of FF XIII ...

Played it in PS3 long ago. Meh game. Turn based JRPG with WW2 flavor.

It's like this guy said plus I fathom why it even gets as much praise as it does ...

Because it's a beatiful game with great music and setting/characters that draw you in. With a innovative combat system at the foundation, it's super polished and does nearly everything very well. Whether you didn't like it very well, it's objectively a great game.

Having played Valkyria Chronicles 2 and 3, there is a reason why the series isn't very popular ...

Oh well, I'm bound to find a flaw once I get a chance to play the first iteration whether it'd be the mediocre and over the top lore or it's art style which can potentially dull the serious moments of the story ...

Moink! Moink?!

Hans, is that you? xD

I played it on PS3 near launch. Its a mediocre SRPG that is a good entry level SRPG since it isnt very hard/long and there isnt too much character management. I think the main draw was the graphics, which while impressive at the time (2008/9)arent as impressive today. I thought it had a weak predictible story, but I dont really care for story in my games. I suppose its worth $5 but I wouldnt spend more on it.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.
