Agreed.

Agreed. I will miss out on playing both games if they don't.
Played it in PS3 long ago. Meh game. Turn based JRPG with WW2 flavor.

No bubbles burst because its your opinion and although, I agree with whatever they did on the gameplay may not be necessary. Overall it does not take anything away from the games, especially VC3. |
That is alright. In my opinion it did make the experience worse because it forced you to grind and the mission areas were significantly smaller because of hardware limitations. They never could achieve the same epic feel the first game set.
Its my opinion, of course. :)

Yup! I would not mind if Sega releases Yakuza games on steam too. Release all your games on Steam. I'd buy them all. Steam is like a guaranteed success for good developers (and super shitty ones too :/) |
When Nintendo announced that 3 game partnership with Sega I was hoping it would lead to more things. Plus Japan got a Yakuza collection on Wii U so I was hoping for a Valkyria Chronicles collection, as well as PSO2.
Id rather they come to home consoles than Steam, but at the very least they need a Steam release so Sega wont moan about monies as much.

Well I did agree with it since we are talking about the gameplay here xD
It's an average JRPG to me ...
There are probably better things for me to play such PS1/PS2 JRPGs and heck I might even get more enjoyment out of FF XIII ...

It's like this guy said plus I fathom why it even gets as much praise as it does ...
I have it installed and everything but I'm preoccupied with Dragon Age. Maybe later >_>

People like to overhype things. And in gaming industry most of the games are overhyped but actually average. When half life 2 came out everyone had massive praise for it. While I liked the game but in my opinion it wasnt that priase worthy.
I really need to get back to it at some point. I did like the few hours I played but it was a bit of a slow start and I had some real life crap going on so I got distracted.
As for ports of the sequels being PSP games they would probably need more work to get them up to spec for a modern PC release. But given this

Sega’s PC version of PS3 RPG Valkyria Chronicles has ‘blown all predictions out of the water’, the publisher has claimed.
The game release on Steam yesterday and was at one stage apparently the most downloaded game on the platform. Currently it sits in third place behind fellow Sega title Football Manager 2015 and Activision’s Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
“During its first 24 hours on sale, blew all forecasts and predictions out of the water. The award-winning Strategy RPG, originally released in 2008 for PlayStation 3, forced its way to the top of the Steam download charts, beating a host of brand new games to reach number one,” Sega said.
Sega Europe’s senior VP of commercial publishing John Clark added: “We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the fans for their support in the phenomenal success of this launch. We’re also delighted at the response from the Steam community which indicates that newcomers to the series are finding it as enchanting and engaging as those who have played it before.”
There is a chance that SEGA will make the effort.
