It's nice that it is on PC, but it will look just as good on PS4 and also run at 60 FPS. Plus the best online community will guaranteed be on PS4, and I love MGO to death.

I say steam community is the best.

LOL not for MGO.  You are missing the point.  I'm not saying PSN > Steam.  I am saying MGO PSN >  MGO Steam.

Prediction for console Lifetime sales:

Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million

[Prediction Made 11/5/2009]

3DS: 65m, PSV: 22m, Wii U: 18-22m, PS4: 80-120m, X1: 35-55m

I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.

Just to make things clear, Metal Gear Solid started on the original PlayStation, while the original Metal Gear started on the MSX, a home computer released in 1983.

You obviously don't undestand the irony of this thread.

Yep. I also hate that this game will be on so many platforms because the community will be split up.

Id still rather play it on ps. Feels wrong playing it anywhere else

As someone who played MGS1 and MGS2 on PC and MGS3 on 3DS, I would have to disagree, lol.

The games have references to Playstation so yeah it would feel a little weird.

MGS = Belongs to Playstation

Well yeah, but the more people that can play an amazing MGS game, the better.

Metal Gear Solid 1, 2 and Rising were all on PC too....

Rising doesnt count imo because it was developed by a different company and conflicts with the main storyline. I honestly didn't know that 1 and 2 were on PC so thank you for correcting me.

I wouldn't say that. It happens after MGS IV, that is the most recent game in the chronology. It follows the SOP thing with nanorobots until a future with cyborgs full of nanorobots. It is consistent with Raiden's past and even Sunny's.

I would say Ground Zeroes and The Phanton Pain conflict more with the storyline. From what I've heard, they changed something in Big Boss past, effective rebooting some aspects of the story.

Anyway, it's great too see the series finally return to be multiplat so everyone can enjoy. The older games were a mess, they would release a PS exclusive, then late port it to a Nintendo platftorm, follow with a PS exclusive, then release a multiplat one just to go back to a PS exclusive... Get your mind straight, Kojima, man!

Nice, do you know if it will available in Steam?

Yep, Ground Zeroes will be coming to Steam on the 18th and The Phantom Pain is still unannounced as far as dates are concerned.

All true. Plus, I just have to play MGS on a PlayStation system. And I'm giving up on the miserable experience that has been PC gaming.
