I know this topic has probably been discussed when the game was announced and it might come a little out of the left field to bring it up now, but I've been wondering about this.
Reasons why I think the game could be exclusive:
1. P.T. was PS4 exclusive (that one's obvious)
2. Kojima had no problem releasing MGS 4 exclusively on PS3 and that was in an environment where that was a much greater risk. He has also been pretty open about believing that the PS4 is the better system between it and the X1.
3. Amazon.de has the game listed only on PS4 (though I realize that that really doesn't mean much)
But here's the problem: Why hasn't said exclusivity been announced yet? Is there any point from a marketing perspective to hide such a thing? I don't see one.
So here's what I believe: Konami and Sony have definitely been having (or are having) negotations regarding Silent Hills being PS4 exclusive, but as of August/September no decision had been made, so they released that teaser to see the reaction of the gaming public and to see how successful it is going to be. After, which I think we can all agree on, the massive success of P.T. the stakes have obviously been raised, Sony stands to gain more from this being exclusive and Konami stands to gain more from releasing this on Xbox (and PC) as well.
Now before SFV I would have definitely said that Sony wasn't going to pay to get something as potentially big as this exclusively from a 3rd party dev, but now I think that is a very real possibility, especially since they can allow a PC version to make the thing a little cheaper.
So basically, what do you think now, will Silent Hills appear on X1 or not?
