I would say easily $300 by the next black Friday, if not sooner.

Prediction for console Lifetime sales:

Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million

[Prediction Made 11/5/2009]

3DS: 65m, PSV: 22m, Wii U: 18-22m, PS4: 80-120m, X1: 35-55m

I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.

not sure ms can wait that long.  16 months i think is march which happily coinsides with the slaughter they'll be getting that month as sony releases games while ms waits for holiday 2015 to release games.

I'm going to say $350 made permanent in January, possibly expanded to other countries as well, plus bundles off an on throughout the year including Evolve and Witcher 3 bundles in the 1st half of the year (since they don't have any major exclusives). Drop down to $320 possibly at E3, more likely right before the Holiday season starts.

Another price cut would mean MS do want to discontinue XBox, and it's not the case.

Why?

Another Price Cut and the Xbox One would almost cost the same as a 360. Amazon.com has 250gb E 360 at $240, XBO with 2 games at $350.  Minus $60 for the games (generous) and that puts the XBO as costing only $50 more than a 360!??!?!?!?! It's crazy how fast the XBO has gone down in value.

Price isnt value and this says more about the X360 and the PS3 value to consumers then anything.

Back to original question. I think MS will leave the $350/$450 with no games SKUs after the end of the year. Then match Sony price cuts going forward.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

Permanent price drop to $349 in January 2015.
$299 in November 2015.

Agree on the first one, but think the second will happen no later than September.

Sony dropping the price as well is a much bigger possibility next year, and MS can't afford to give them the price advantage again.

Have some time to kill? Read my shitty games blog. http://www.pixlbit.com/blogs/586/gigantor21

February.

The PS5 Exists.

Oh yeah, that's a good point. It really depends on when Sony drops the price. Considering the PS4 is getting big exclusives next year, the console should continue to sell well without a price drop. I think Sony wil drop the PS4's price to $349 in October or November 2015.
