Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Predict the next Xbox One pricedrop

I dont see another price drop until Holiday 2015 when the PS4 price drops. Its selling extremely well at its current price.

Another price cut would mean MS do want to discontinue XBox, and it's not the case.

I think the "temp" price drop will be permanent. it will be 350, until the first hardware revision then it will drop to $329.00

The same with Sony, won't see a price drop until there is a hardware revision for them too. Then I think they will drop to 379-359. Sony will not try to achieve parity in price. I think they are fine with having the slightly higher priced console. It is the strongest console with the highest appeal this gen so far, If that changes in a few years, who knows.

But I think MS knew Sony could not afford to do a price drop this year during the Holiday sales bonanza.

Do you really think Microsoft wants to lose more money when it's not the Holidays? Holidays 2015 is my answer.

Bet with Xander XT:

I can beat more games on his 3DS than he can on my PSVita in a month. Loser has to buy the winner a game on his/her handheld Guess who won? http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=193531

Me!

Can we maybe change it up to predict at what point will Xbox One's price drop equal the percentage drop of PS3 in its first year?

PS3 was a complete disaster and dropped about 33% within it's first year - from $599 to 399. Xbox One has dropped only 12% for the Kinectless sku and 10% for the Kinect version.

Why?

Don't copy random editorials.

The one ain't takin this crap no mo. It's going right back up after the holiday season. It just wanted to beat Sony and now that it has, for the time being, it'll probably go back up. I'm not predicting another drop.

Another Price Cut and the Xbox One would almost cost the same as a 360. Amazon.com has 250gb E 360 at $240, XBO with 2 games at $350.  Minus $60 for the games (generous) and that puts the XBO as costing only $50 more than a 360!??!?!?!?! It's crazy how fast the XBO has gone down in value.

They really should keep the $349.99 price point. It's an excellent price for what they are offering and in places like Canada, the Assassin's Creed bundle was $100.00 less that the PS4 TLOU/ GTAV and was either sold out or limited stock vs alot of PS4s (in my particular city at least)

" Rebellion Against Tyrants Is Obedience To God"

It will stay at $349 despite them saying it being a temp thing. Then Id say June to $289 USD for Assassins Creed bundle without a controller and say they "price dropped it". Lol. But seriously probaly June to $324.99.
