Strange, i feel you made a similar thread some months ago.... curse my deja vu senses!

I dont whole heartedly agree with the OP but respect the concluding statement about the Xbone doing more than PS4 (as it is true) and that a flip of the coin will suffice in choosing one over the other but personally feel the Xbone is a more worthy choice at this moment in time.

THAT being said I feel your opinion is more on the tech side of things rather than games, although your taste in games must be vastly different to my own.

Sadly as much as I love my Wii U you do state the facts about it but again feel you are overly critical of the console. Yes it should be doing more to satisfy the gaming community though.

You must be talking about this: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=191989&page=1

OT: I agree with everything you said.

"I've Underestimated the Horse Power from Mario Kart 8, I'll Never Doubt the WiiU's Engine Again"

Very good read, and I agree with almost everything. I personally never consider Nintendo as a viable console for my entertainment, had X360 previous generation and was somewhat satisfied, but an almost non-existent user base in Croatia (outside piracy) made it almost impossible for me to trade/share games, thus PS4 was the only sensible choice for me...and it's an added bonus that it is a better machine with more games that interest me.

I just can't see the Xbox and PS4 as being more complimentary than an Xbox/PS4 and WiiU.

Nice post, though there are some things I don't agree with.

I don't believe that sony are becoming complacent simply by not being as aggressive as MS has been. I think their focus is just different. Its easy to say they should have done this to their OS or that or this with their media functions or that simply cause MS has done it, but then we forget the things that the PS4 does that the XB1 doesn't. PSshreplay to me is a much bigger deal and useful feature than being able to copy music over to my internal HDD for instance.

And as for NA. I think MS hand has just been forced way too early. And sony is in a position to just sit back and make the most of the sales they can get from NA at the current price point. As I have said before, I really hope that the price drop does wonders for MS in NA, cause it will pretty much guarantee that by this time next year we would have sub $300 consoles from both sony and MS on the market.

Its like what some fail to see, is that sony getting a 1M lead in NA thus far gives them the luxury to not have to do anything aggressive this holiday season. At worst the lose most of that lead, but they will still be in the lead.

I kinda agree with you: Sony have managed PS4 with great skill and success, and both Nintendo and MS fucked up their consoles. So in a way, PS4 deserves to be in 1st place. BUT, this generation has started poorly. Most games on PS4/X1 can also be found on PS360, and both "next" gen consoles have few exclusives.

I'm gonna stick with Wii U and Nintendo this gen, because I own a PC, which means I can play 90% of every game that's on PS4 or X1

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Good thread, one of the few long threads that I've read through. I agree with nearly all your points other then the Wii U's best game... We all know that it's Super Mario 3D World XP!

Agreed. PS4 will most likely deserve first place at the end of this gen. But now I think Wii U deserves it by far. XBOX just seems pointless to me. Why does it exist? What iconic franchises does it have besides Gears of War and Halo? You can play most of their games on PS4 or PC. And they'll run better as well.

Change Xbox to Wii U, Gears and Halo to Mario and Zelda and it's even more true...

Pikmin, Metroid, 3D Mario platformer, 2D Mario platformer, Mario rpg (Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi) Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros., Donkey Kong, Zelda, Xenoblade, Star Fox, Yoshi, Fire Emblem, Pokémon, Kirby, Kid Icarus, F-Zero and Animal Crossing.

Tell me, how many succesful spin-off games does Halo have? Not many... And not for lack of trying.

You're seriously suggesting Microsoft could make a Super Smash Bros. clone with their mascots?

What are you smoking? And can I have some?

The fact that the OP barely talks about games in her post says all I needed to know. It seems like gaming consoles these days are not about playing games anymore lol. If you can afford an XBOXONE you can also afford a PS4. The console that has the superior third party games (which is 90%+ of the XBOXONE library). If Microsoft would leave the console business not much would change in the gaming department. If Sony or Nintendo left a lot of iconic game franchises would be lost. That's why Sony and Nintendo will always be above Microsoft.

And yet, i have, and play, more wiiu games than you.

And yet, the best you can come up with for xbox is "halo and gears of war"

Some would say thats cherry picking, I would call it a clear and obvious bias (of yours) towards nintendo, I could ream off a list just as long, and varied of xbox and playstation exclusives, but whats the point? In your mind was made up long before you entered this thread.

I have a PC and I have a WiiU. I play both more than my PS4 because why play inferior versions of PC games on console especially when multiplayer requires a retarded fee.... And PS4 still lacks the must own exclusives. XBO does not even have much exclusives at all. (remember I own a PC! Ryse Dead Rising etc is all on PC. Sunset overdrive and Halo MasterChief collection and Killer Instict is rumored to come to PC aswell)

So IMO
WiiU is 1st
PS4 is 2nd
XBO is 3rd (because all the exclusives end up on PC anyways)

3rd place is right where I want the wiiU. It reminds me of the dreamcast, and the vita....two other consoles I absolutely adore.
