Forums - Sony Discussion - PS4 At its current state is the worst console I've ever owned

This crappy thread has way more replies than it should.

So a well know provocateur made another flaming thread against something PlayStation, why does anyone care on his ''input' on PS4 when his posting history regarding anything PS related is already well known?

Are consoles and games so holy that no one is allowed to criticise them?

By the way what about my posting history that made you think I'm a "Playstation flamer"?  I am commonly known for not liking uncharted and that's about it.

You'd really call your OP 'criticism? I've seen better constructed points made on youtube comments?

And I dont really need to answer your second question, do I?

I'm interested which post that made you think I'm a flamer, past threads I made.

it's a great racing game. If the would be a track in a desert or in a rainforest included a "replay your race" function, it would be the best game I've ever played.

so much wrong with this thread, namely it flat out inaccuracies

Am I the only one who is crazy about old games?

I like old game.  Glad that Suikoden 2 is finally on the PSN will probably buy it by the end of the month since I missed out on it on the PS1.

I highly recommend playing suikoden 1 first I heard it's short too so you don't worry about it being long.

Transfer save to second game too, to have extra scenes (from what I've read)

Lucky I didn't miss out on Suikoden 1 I have a physical copy of it and I beat it once.  Not sure if I wan't to replay it though just for some tranfer data in the second game kinda busy with other games at the moment.

Download a save file off the net. It isn't like dragon age where choices matter it's more about cameos from the first game that show up if you have a save file (like mgs with castlevania for example)

I might do that.  MGS also reconizes Suikoden save file, it was a nice little touch when Psycho Mantis mentioned it.

The only thing you ever do on VGC is criticize and complain about gaming...

Most of this is because OP cant manage a slightly different UI.

If thats a list of whats wrong with PS4, we all know why its doing so well.... because theres not much wrong with it.

They just need to improve the network.

Game installs??????????? All your games installed shows, not archives not install games. I sincerely see no difference between this and PS3 besides one scrooing sideways and the other downway (on PS4 as said you can choose how many games it will show on it). Anyway I don't see how PS4 would be the worst ever for it when it didn't even existed prior to gen 7th. So it is better on it than any other system prior. And in no previous to 7th gen you could just choose from games installed on the console besides the 1 or 2 special games they preinstalled. And if you are worried about starting a game fast you can always just insert the disc and it will start.

Why would you be able to see the games bought/downloaded on PS3 if they aren't playable on PS4? It would create more confusion than anything else.

Have worked on all the games I tried. But that is dependant on the developer. The system is capable of play while install, but the dev must order the data in the right manner, so I don't see Sony fault on it... and that certainly is a feature no other console/computer/mobile had that prior to it. So I don't see how can it be the worst ever by having it and maybe some devs not using it.

As far as I know they are releasing PS1 games on it, maybe it will take some time... I don't bother with downloading most of them since I played already and have the original system and game to keep playing as I think for it to be worth everything must be in the same enviroment. The feature weren't available on the reveal, E3 or release so you can't accuse them of removing it, you may complain about it not having it. PS3 didn't had PS1 digital games altough it plays disc based. PS2 just worked on beggining of gen PS3 HW and we have little PS2 games available on PS3 without being an HD remake. And I fail to see how PSNow being not interesting to you makes the system the worst ever.

So if you think they were truthfull in the way you exposed them you weren't. Mostly were wrong, ill informed, not factual or irrelevant to the console itself. And well, it is hard to imagine PS4 being the worst system your ever had.

- I have no idea what you just said....

- I have a ps plus and when I had a Ps3 i "bought" the free ps4 games that they released  so that I would have a lot of ps4 games when I get one.

- well it didn't work for me?

- as far as you know? Where?  When did they say that? As far as I know they are releasing final fantasy vii for ps4 at a premium price even though it's the same exact game and they probably want us to buy them all over again or stream them on ps now. Which is total bull if you ask me.

- Well at its current state it is. I honestly never bought a console that I stopped playing the same day and left it without use for awhile :/

Don't worry though I'm waiting for bloodborne or something but at the current state it isn't worth having in my opinion. Especially if you're on the fence on buying it. The graphical differences between it and the previous generation are not worth the extra money they are barely worth noting too.

- About you complaining on the icones of your games, and they aren't install data.

- I have plus for some time. And I wasn't ever able to "download" PS4 games through PS3 (or mark to download so It shows on the list for me to download in the other display) so I'm not sure how you done it through PS4. I also can't download PS3 games on PS4.

- I have trouble believing no game ever allowed you to play while installing, unless you tried once or twice.

- Yes sony haven't allowed crossbuy generically, each one is done case by case. And they will release more PS1 games. If it's at premium or not you may decide on your buying, and I certainly wouldn't put it like that. If you want to say PS4 is the worst console by not having PS1 games then all MS and Ninty consoles are even worse.

- I played mine for two weaks and them stored for like 3 months, but that was because I wasn't wanting to expend 60 dollars for games I don't think deserved. I ended up buying most of them for 30 dollars. For full price I bought I:SS and DC, for half price KZ:SS, Knack. But I usually buy very few full priced. And I was aware that during the first year there will be few cheap games. But I wanted to use the chance I had while on the USA to buy the game for half or third the price I would pay in Brazil.

I'm not worried... I'm just calling you for pushing a point completely wrong in most of your reasons. And calling you out on complaining about being uninformed about your buy so the need to bash something.

Most of your complaints seem to have something to do with you not knowing that there is a "Library" on PS4 where you can see all purchased/downloaded games and sort them by various factors.

Regarding the play while you download thing: You need to download a small part of the game first before you can start playing. You can not start playing immediately for obvious reasons (there needs to be some data to play...). Most retail games seem to be 15GB+ but for many you only have to download a few gigs to start playing.

You should have read about the console to see if it would have the features you wanted before blowing $400. It seems you just came in with the odd assumption that that you would be able to play all your downloads on the PS4 which you obviously cant do. You couldn't do that with any other system before so I have no idea why you would just assume you could do that. Also why buy a console if you don't want any of its games. It's your fault for purchasing a console with no games you want to play.

Just wanted to say 7th gen is where downloadable games really kicked off and that the DSi and Wii let their games be tranferred to their successor.  Just saying!

Oh, and some PS3 games work on PS4.  Flower, for example.
