You do realize that Japan is about handhelds and really, only about handhelds right? The only thing that ever really sells in Japan are handhelds, even the Vita is selling in Japan compared the rest of the world where its selling like shit... Of course the n3ds is going to sell well in Japan, specially with games like MH4 and Pokemon and MH only sells freakishly well in Japan and no where else.. Japan is not a good indicator of how the rest of the world views things

What do you think will happen when the New 3ds release in North America??? There will be a huge sales spike for New 3ds on release and new 3ds will immediatly replace the older version has new top selling skew. You actually think that the older model will outsell the New 3ds once it comes to north america?

Well obviously the old version won't outsell the new version but I don't think the boost will be zomfg. All it will do is "extend" the life of the 3ds by like a year and thats about it... All the system sellers the 3ds has are out already, there is no big game that will come out to make the n3ds a "must have" and games sell hardware, not the other way around.

And the other thing is that, at its worst, the 3ds was a successful handheld that is viewed by many as a must have platform hence the high sales, the wiiU is nothing like that and most people wouldn't care two shits about it hence the sales of that. Plus all the bad press and etc makes the wiiU a very hard purchase for many even if the games are great cause it doesn't have enough games that the other consoles are getting so doing a "New wiiU" would be pointless cause the wiiU name isn't respected at all

Nintendo designed one of the worst consoles of this gen. From the internals to the externals. Yes, it is fun. But down to the fundamentals... it's a piece of design deprived garbage. The power brick, the forced use of the underutilized GamePad, the toy look, Nintendo knows better than that. All that aside, it's my favorite console of this gen but Nintendo needs to step it up. I remember a Nintendo that cared what casuals and hard core gamers thought about them. I know it, in essence, it doesn't really matter but it sure doesn't hurt.

Yup the hardware is shit.... The amount of ram (2gb of DDR3 ram) and The obvious suspect would be the Wii U's 1.2GHz CPU, a tri-core piece of hardware re-architected from the Wii's Broadway chip, in turn a tweaked, overclocked version of the GameCube's Gekko processor.

WiiU is nintendo's worst console in it's history by far for load time. Heck even the menu has load time.  Easily explain when you look at the hardware.

People aren't buying the Wii U for the gamepad. People are buying the Wii U in spite of it. Sell it as an option. Anyone who thinks that the gamepad is the only thing that makes the Wii U unique clearly has no idea what they're talking about.

Nintendo should just give you a job right now, because you have ALL the fresh ideas.

WHERE IS MY KORORINPA 3

Redesign the gamepad, with a smaller screen (3DSXL upper screen sized).
With a smaller screen, the dpi increases, and the images will look better.
Make it looks more like a controller with a screen than a big strange indefined think (no one nows is if a controler or a tablet or both or none...).
Make it cheaper and with more battery life(smaller screen can help there).
Implement the second gamepad funcionality, and sell it separly.
But also, sell the "new wii U" with the redesigned gamepad, and a 500 Gb hard drive. 250$, with no game. Just a new digital promotion again, exclusive to the new model.

Thats enough.

I like were you went with it, the battery life should be around 5 hours.

Mario Kart, Super Smash, Super Mario 3d world bundles.

More bundles would have been the easier way. They could have released Hyrule Warriors, Bayonetta 1+2, and Captain Toad or NES Remix Pack bundles easily to strengthen sales.

You have no idea what you're talking about do you?

It should boost it about as much as SSB did. And that was a mega-gigantic-craziness of a boost.

Wii u has basically reached its limit and I doubt anyone would care for a redisigned console....nintendo really drop ed the ball this gen, will have to take being in last place for a long time....

The GameCube didn't get a redesign either. Though it got a lot of color variations. Gold Wii U for Zelda is probable I would think.

They need a new look. Like how they did with the 360
