Damn CoD for stealing that idea! ;) do they have leaks on a regular basis, or is it something that just pops up now and then?

Wouldn't call it leaks.. more like really good information gathering.. but they do their homework before publishing it on their site.. there is some amazing stuff like this Toad on a mech for Super Mario Strikers 2 (they even have the logo) before it was renamend to Super Mario Strikers Charged..
I really like that site for gathering stuff on games and to see how they changed during developement..

wow, sounds like a pretty cool site! Will check it out! Thx

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

So they aren't making a Metroid for Wii-U? Sigh...

So these 2D and 3D Metroid games are no more.. I know I can't be bitching about the games on my Wii U as it has a lot of great games but I really did hope for a full-fledged Metroid, Pokémon or completely new IP this gen :(

...we're never gonna get Metroid 5? Jesus, even Star Fox is getting a new game next year, and all Metroid has are more and more cancelled games.
And when they do release it, it's outsourced. Fantastic.

Good. More manpower to work on a proper Metroid game for Wii U.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Most likely ported to the next Nintendo home console and handheld now. We can still see a next level game for 2016 along with a Retro studio, and an Intelligent Systems game. We may see galaxy 3 or a HD Mario collection as well. Other than that, I have no other ideas for Wii U's 2016 schedule.

Some of you guys are really exaggerating lol.

First of all, not a lot of Nintendo studios are capable of making a good Metroid game (especially if it's a first person shooter/adventure). That basically only leaves Retro Studios. And Retro Studios has just released a game this year. Back in the beginning of the year they confirmed they have been working on a new project for a couple of months already. So at best, their new project has one year of development time. That's too early to show off what the game could possibly be (some people were expecting Metroid at the VGA). At the earliest Retro Studios will announce their new project at E3 2015. Although Retro Studios has the tendency to reveal their next project only in the year the game is supposed to release(DKC: R in 2010 and DKC: TF in 2013). So we might even have to wait till E3 2016. When it's confirmed Retro Studios is not working on a new Metroid then you can start giving up hope of ever seeing a good Metroid game on the Wii U.

What... where does it say both are canceled...?

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Just going to go ahead and say didn't we know about a canceled/rejected 3DS Metroid? By some study I can't recall that had weird concept art? Couldn't this just be that information getting recycled (we've seen a good bit of this recycling this year)?
