When a 9 year old console outsells a 2 year old console when its biggest game of the year comes out I can't acknowledge the doom there? I'd say the same thing if 360 outsold any 8th gen console in this situation.

360 is doing well though. I get that its bad that WiiU was outsold yes, but that doesn't add up the entire situation here^

There is a reason why X1 outsold PS4 for example last month, and it wasnt due to Halo vs LBP. There are a number of factors here...

Nah, Xbox 360 is 9 years old ... that's ancient (great numbers for a 9 year old system does not mean great numbers for a 2 year old system).

WiiU should be able to beat 360 without any mega exclusive, let alone a huge one (with the added bonus of MK being new).

All I heard all summer was how WIiU was set for a huge holiday because of the Smash - MK tag team and how 360 is dead.

Still I kinda agree with you about the doomed thing. I don't even know what "doomed" really means for WiiU, it's gonna keep selling and Nintendo will keep making game for it. Suppose perhaps murph means sales going forward really won't ever lift.

compared to june - august, wiiu had one of the worst november possible
just 10% up YoY, while the rest of the year was some kind of 50%

if december will be below 400k for wiiu, the doom talk is reasonable
to show some health, wiiu need to sell above 500k units. and i don't see that happen, right now

Your right, It "Should" Beat a Gen 7 console, but its not. SSB is definitely a top 3 HC Nintendo title, so no excuses there. Its just with the way Nintendo handled this holiday, its to be expected. Of course we wouldn't have known that intill Early Nov.

Tht said i do agree that MK8+SSB tag could of been a potential big holiday push for WiiU, but Once again Nintendo chose the profits over increase install base method. (Complete opposite with X1 ironically lol :p

I dont know who said x360 was dead but it wasnt from me, especially when i pay attention to NPD threads. Dont know if your talking about alot of people/certain amount/Nintendo fans/Sony Fans/etc so i cant help you out there :0

Thanks for agreeing with me about the doom. Vita sells less but i dont see it as doom, when Sony profits from it, especially in Japan.
