Me too. I think they'll reserve making new amiibo series for only major games, maybe one or two a year. It'd make sense if they wanted to help attract attention to the new ip with amiibos.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

My expectations were too high, so far the Kirby game has normal DLC amiibo features.

How about an actual game that uses them for something useful,like a nintendo universe game where libk.would give you a zelda themed world donkey kong a jungle themed world etc like a big banjo style platformer.

Hahaha, I was wrong with the series. It's not Kirby, but the new amiibo will launch with Mario Party 10 (shudders)

So you cannot use the SSB Mario with Mario Party 10?   Most expansive DLC format ever.

You can, it's compatible, you only have to overwrite the SSB data. Hence why they try sell a second one.

Nintendo should add a data management option to backup NFC data in its amiibo setting.

Where did you get that from? You can use any of the Smash amiibo that overlap with the new Mario range with Mario Party 10. However, you can't write data for two different games to one amiibo, you'd need to delete your Smash data on your Mario amiibo to make way for Mario Party 10 data, which is a sad limitation.
