This got to be a joke thread.... They've delayed the game for almost a year, added weather effect in order to match competitor and weren't even able to deliver the weather system until after the game release.

When did I ever give a review on driveclub? I'm just saying we as the consumer should hold developer to some kind of standard.

Delivering and collecting money for a broken and flawed product should not be accepted.

This thread clearly tries ignoring and not holding the developer accountable. You can’t simply ignore the need for quality standard just because there were multiple patches to fix issues.

Just like Halo: MCC these developers should be force to give refund to any customers that have been wrong and have blatantly false advertised their product.

Driveclub promise a new dynamic weather system ... this should have been there on the day of release.

Nope, because they never promised it for release.

Jumped in day 1 and it's been great, seeing the game grow has been fun but also annoying at times. Constant disconnects were the worst, everything else is great, the cars, how they handle, the tracks, some take a while to master to perfect that lap time. The MP is a blast, and those weather affects, never seen anything like it, simply amazing at times. This is one of the best racers out there, it's not a sim nor an outright arcade racer it's somewhere in between, it plays really well and is fun yet challenging and it also looks great. As the game is today is how it should have been released, it would have got much better reviews. Before a 6/10, it just had to many issues to fully enjoy it, now it's a 9/10 imo. Try it, put sometime into it and soon you'll find yourself going, just one more race. :)

I picked the game 1 month after release. It was already great, now it is superb, it is 9,0 since a 10 games is a exclusive spot of gran turismo. Unless I have a 10 scale for games not know as gran turismo, then maybe I could raise it.

Loved the game and how it is a lot harder to win than on gt due to aí improving to stick with you. But sure handling don't compare.

disagreed

the publisher already felt the impact for releasing the product too early (that's a publisher decision, not a dev decision), but now that the problems have been dealt with the reasonable thing is to recommend it to other users (or advise against it) based on the state the game is in at this point

Id give it an 9 /10 up from 7.5/10 challenges are fun and the weather is beautiful and challenging.

Your totally right, still DC does make each car handle differently, still can't quite get the Savage Rivale to behave!

Excellent post! This is the kind of feedback I'd like to hear, even if it were negative since it's at least constructive and on topic.  I myself was a HUGE fan of the DiRT Rally games and played the games with manual shifting and as many assists off as possible;  If anyone here has played DiRT in a similar style, how would you compare that kind of handling to a game like this?  I've read people saying the handling sucks, and others saying the handling is actually quite good if you don't like easy wins being handed to you.  I'm in the latter and prefer realistic racing - let's be honest.  you shouldn't be able to take a sharp right at 120MPH without getting sideways.

Agreed. This is off topic though. Have you played the game? Do you own it? I asked this earlier and you haven't responded. I'm sure the reviewers have held the Devs responsible, which is reflected in reviews leading to a lackluster performance in sales.  Since this never affected me and I'm getting a PS4 soon I'll be playing the game in it's current state or better.

Delivering and collecting money for a broken and flawed product should not be accepted.

We've had two threads talking about this recently; My response was that refunds should be allowed to gamebreaking bugs. This is no exception. Again, I haven't tried this game so those gamebreaking bugs are fixed now and won't affect me.

This thread clearly tries ignoring and not holding the developer accountable. You can’t simply ignore the need for quality standard just because there were multiple patches to fix issues.

Nope, not ignoring; I'm asking how you would review it currently. The Devs have been held accountable.  The online issues are very well publisized. The quality of the game itself was apparent from the start  which from the looks of it has been top notch IMO.  Quality isn't reflected on a gamebreaking bug.  I have no doubt they would have delayed it further if they had realized the netcode wasn't up to scratch. (I mean shit, it's already been delayed a year)

Just like Halo: MCC these developers should be force to give refund to any customers that have been wrong and have blatantly false advertised their product.

Stop ignoring my previous posts - I provided a link dating back to Jun of 2014 where they announced the weather affects, and announced it would be coming in a post launch update. Nothing misleading about that whatsoever.
