Its percentage has gone down with Xbox almost equalling it these past 2 weeks and WiiU tipping the balance slightly in favor of the other 2 staying above 50%.  Personally I still believe it will get there due to X1's price going back up in January and their best deals being behind them after Xmas.  MS will have to increase price again for at least a couple months to not have lied again and lose more public trust with the "limited" $50 price cut they've been advertising.  Europe will continue to snowball and of course the early part of next year looks to be Sony territory exclusive wise.  I think they'll reach it in May with Bloodborne.

I also think it could do it around May, hard to say right now but i'm confident that it'll be outselling xbo+wiiu come February for the foreseeable future.

With XBO's steady grow, it will be harder to hold a 50% market share. But honestly, PS4 doesn't need all that. 40% is more than enough I think.

If it ever reaches a stable 50% it's mostly the Wii U's fault.

I expect it to reach it pretty soon, though whether it'll hold on to it for the rest of the gen is an uncertainty.

This.  Some caveats include the big down adjustments that the PS4 has recieved.  Mathmatically, with the PS4 on top every week, the down adjustments are responsible for the PS4's slight maketshare drop.  Speaking quite frankly, the only way for the PS4 not to go up is for it to be outsold by any one system, or for it to be adjusted down.

In Q1 2015 PS4 will be getting lots of exclusives. Plus the effect of discounted Xbox One will wear down. So it might be possible within Q1 2015.
