Wonder why the bump in 360 numbers. Any noteworthy games come out? Or are they just 'back in stock'?

There was a slight 360 shortage then. The 360 numbers will go down slightly next week and they (PS3,360) will be nearly equal (360 just ahead).

PS3 is still doing GOBS better than everyone thought it would at launch.
Besides, it's just 1 week, we'll see what happens next week. :)

Europe is Sony's turf yet again. It has serious competition in Japan ( Wii ) and America though ( Wii & 360 ).

 If you're factoring in Wii when talking about japan then it's a little hasty to call Europe Sony's turf as the Wii is doing better there as well.

I was correct, PS3 sales increased yet again this week in North america, it seems blu-ray is helping the PS3 stay tough in America, also OTHERS numbers increased as well for the platform. I wouldnt be suprised if the PS3 manages over 180k WW sales.

This trend is quite wierd, this is usually when consoles sell there lowest possible, yet since blu-ray has won PS3 sales have gone from 130k, to a gradual increase towards that 200k mark.



 

 2008 end of year predictions:

PS3: 22M

360: 25M

wii: 40M
