Why did you ask for Japan?We already have the answer!Same with 2013 and yoy up!New3ds/xl stopped the decline and matched the monthly sales to those of 2013!

I'll guess 2.5 million.

Even if it falls short of that it will take the Playstation's place as the fifth-best-selling console of all time in Japan. If it manages close to or a bit more than 2.5 it could surpass the PSP next year as well.

3DS had huge declines this year, but New 3DS seems to have improved things to just a minor decline in the last two months. I would guess that the boost won't last 12 months so I think we could see decline by this time next year. Of course some new prices and games would help.
