Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Have you ever wanted to return a Nintendo game?

Yes, I always do. Some Nintendo games are worth keeping, but some get really old quickly. I traded in: Hyrule Warriors, The Wonderful 101, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Yoshi's New Island, Fantasy Life and some others. I plan on trading in Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U and 3DS, because it's no different than playing Melee on the GameCube. I played Melee for hours on hours on end back in the day and I had a lot of fun. Brawl wasn't as great and it got old after a few days. I'll also trade in Pokemon Alpha Sapphire after I complete the main quest, because I own the original Ruby and Sapphire on the Game Boy Advance. May wanted me to return to Hoenn and I want to see the difference between the original and the re-make.

Animal Crossing! That's the only game I've ever traded back regardless of the publisher. That is NOT my type of game.

All the time

Edit: Most recently Pokemon Alpha Sapphire and Super Smash Bros for WiiU.

Edit 2: To be fair I do this alot, buy games and then never end up playing them all that much.

So you don't really game? That's kinda funny.

Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.

I actually didn't mind Other M aside from the cheesy cinematics.

As a stand alone action game it was actually pretty cool, but if you were expecting Super Metroid 2.5, that it wasn't.

If that had been an original game with an original character in a "bad ass" robot suit I think a lot of people would think much better of it and would be asking for a sequel.

I just buy a shit ton of games my friend... well considering how much I get paid. Like 80-90% of my money goes towards games

I've never actually returned one. I guess I just enjoy most of their games, although I didn't buy Other M so from what I've seen, I'd probably returned it.

Other M is not that bad IMO. Definately worth the $5 it is at gamestop.

Some games I have returned and regretted then later bought back for various reasons like the GC version of Twilight Princess. I traded in the GC version for the Wii version then later regretted it and wanted the GC version back.

A few pokemon games, Skyward Sword, Minish Cap, Sunshine, Other M. Although in Other M's case, I got it back pretty cheap and realized that until a better 2D style metroid in 3D comes along I might as well enjoy Other M.

I traded in Brawl not too long after I got it. That tripping mechanic and the slow gameplay left me wanting.

Lube Me Up

Only once, hyrule warriors. I fucking hate that game although to be fair I basically knew what it was gonna be like and just hoped I could enjoy it.

I wanted to light my copy of Other M on fire after I played it.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Other M isn't a terrible game, it's just a bad Metroid game.

On its own merits it's better than something like Pandora's Tower which Nintendo fans made a petition over (lol) and Ninja Gaiden 3 in my opinion.

I'd say Star Fox Assault (developed by Namco) was poor, but even that honestly I had an OK time with.

I can't say I've returned a Nintendo game but I did basically not even bother to download Wii Fit U even when it was on a free trial.
