Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Have you ever wanted to return a Nintendo game?

Pokémon X/Y was probably my biggest letdown out of all the Nintendo games I've played. I didn't necessarily want to return it, because I horde every game I buy, but it went to the bottom of my list for, "Maybe I'll play that again."

Skyward Sword. I adore TP (one of my all time favorite games), which only added to the bitterness and disappointment i feel towards SS. Don't even get me started on the art style.

That's the only major example i can think of. There are some other Nintendo titles i dislike, but none I've actually owned. I tend to research into games before buying them, so its rare i end up with something i'm not at least fairly certain i'll like. The only exception to this was series i already knew i liked, but after FF14 1.0 and SS, i tend to hold off on those too.

No, never. There's only ever been like 2 or 3 games that I've really regretted buying but they weren't exclusives.

Never happened to me. I buy a lot of games. But I have to truly hate a fundamentally broken product to want to return it. I had awful experiences with Oblivion (XB360) Marvel Ultimate Alliance(360), Overlord 2(PS3), Fallout 3(PS3), and Borderlands 2(PS3). All had game breaking failures of the highest order. I Traded them all in, with the exception of Marvel:UA, which was only a rental. I have also perma-bannned all the devs of those games, again with the exception of Marvel:UA dev Raven. Never Nintendo though.

I think I might be the same, not that I gave it a fair chance.

I gave it a fair chance and hated myself after beating it

I've been considering selling Super Smash Bros. for 3DS ever since the Wii U one came out. The 3DS version just feels incredibly inferior and I never find any reason to play it, even when I'm on the go I still don't feel like it just because it's so much worse.

Apart from that, I think I would have been disappointed by Pikmin 3 if I had paid for it. It's a very short game with little replayability, so I'd feel it wouldn't justify the money I paid on it. Thankfully, I got it for free and loved those 15 hours I had with it.

As a Pikmin fan that enjoyed all three games, I have to unfortunately agree. But I also got the first two when for $20. I haven't touched challenge mode, boss mode, and multiplayer mode as well. Maybe if it had online multiplayer I would try the multiplayer battle mode. I don't know anyone who will ever agree to play Pikmin 3 battle mode over MK8, 3D World or even New Super Luigi >_>

Mario 3d land, a link between worlds, metroid prime 3, donkey kong 64, pokemon blue.

I don't think you should have a Nintendo system 😃

Lol yeah those are some great games there.

As for a nintendo game ive returned. First was battallion wars two, bought it, finished it within two days, returned it. Granted I enjoyed it I just couldn't justify the price I paid for it. Actually bought it again for $15 so I can replay it. Second was wario land the shake dimension. For some reason it just bored me to tears.

Yep, Paper Mario Sticker Star. Unfortunately I bought it digitally so returning that garbage is impossible.

Nah, I know what I like and I avoid buying things I know I won't like. Only purchase I've regretted in the past 5 years was Project X Zone, which I returned for credit towards SMT IV.
