Ok so we all know now that Square Enix once again trolled the hell out of their fanbase by announcing yet another port of FFVII, now to PS4. Many of us were beyond underwhelmed as we own the game in so many different formats at this point was this really worth a big reveal? Yet one thing is unclear. The PC version is the one now being ported to PS4, and it actually has Achievements to gain for doing certain things in the story. See here...

So does this mean that FFVII PS4 will have Trophy support? That, if true, would be the most interesting aspect of it all as I would pay for the game yet again if it means I can show what a FFVII badass I am now by getting the coveted Platinum.

Doesn't the PC version have achievements? Since they're using that version I'd assume the game would have trophies.

It probably has, but who cares. This is going to be terrible. The PC version has mods to improve models and reduce blockyness. This one likely will not.

The PC version having mod support just makes it the definitive favourite version for me, I couldn't give a rats ass about mere trophies.

It would be more worthwhile if it had trophies.
