I don't think he can complain about sony at this point. If he left a year ago I'd completely understand as Sony blew it at launch. They seem to be turning it around at this point so him leaving doesn't have any merit.

There are many causes to think, Sony is finally fail with ps3, first, the blue ray, is an expenssive addon, that become obssolete in no more than a year, cause Hard Disck is more practicall solution , second wii . is near to 22 millons units right now, and probably 50 millons or more to the end of year, this is an historic bookmark to guinees records, and finally, the wiimote and nunchuck is the future of game industry, the clasiccs pads, invented for nintendo two GENS ago is an obsolete concept right now, then , as many time sony delay to incorporate this concept, the final looses in terms of money are a great advantage to Ninty take a monopoly of the game industry

I don't know what he really means by what he said, but I have an opinion on what it might mean ...

Suppose you were a high level executive inside of SCE and you believed (what most people here probably believe) that the Playstation consoles were so popular because they were low cost systems that had tons of third party support were well advertized and targeted the most gamers. It is quite possible that you would look at the move towards a high cost, high development cost (thus less third party support), that was focusing on the "Core" gamers at the expense of many "typcial" gamers as the wrong direction and you may have spoke out against it; as they pressed forward against your conserns you would see them fail and all your work be wasted. Overall this would be a very frustrating experience.

The PS3 is not the future of gaming in my opinion and I agree with his statement. The future of gaming is more then just having the amazing lineup of games that the PS3 has and the horsepower to create beautiful games.

Take a look at what Nintendo has done with the Wii. Its innovative and expands the notion of console gaming to the next level. The same can be said for MS and XBOX Live, it presents something new and keeps the industry fresh.

The PS3's innovation is Blu Ray and as far as I am concerned that doesnt enhance my experiance as a gamer what so ever. I can watch HD movies but then again is that what I bought my PS3 for? Moreso, Sony has tried to integrate what MS and Nintendo have done into its product. Sixaxis? Home? The middle button on my controller? These concepts are pruely to combat and imitate companies who are actually working to deliver something new to the gaming world.

Everyone says that PS3 is the future of gaming but I disagree. The future of gaming encompasses so much more then the PS3 and Sony brings to the table. I will give them kudos for the hardware innovation but future of gaming...no.

May come across that I am bashing but I own a PS3 and definetly am looking forward to what is coming. I simply do not feel that Sony will be the benchmark that everyone will try to follow into the next gen like they did last gen. It is obvious that vast majority of gamers are more concerned with innovation then pretty graphics as is the case with both the Wii and 360.

 honestly i think that the ps3 has waay more vastly innovative than the 360.

 the 360 with xbox live, ok, but they had that last generation all they added was video content and stuff.

i think the futuer of gaming is ps3 and wii, as they appeal to the 2 different crowds. 

the ps3 has blu ray, a larger hard drive, little big planet (which defines innovative), home (which is better than xbl),

etc. that make it really innovative.

the wii is obviously innovative as well.

They think Ninty is the future of gaming with motion controls? thats not the future, HD is the future. Also an entertainment system, not just gaming system is the future (blu ray, music, etc.)
