It might be unrelated but... Japan SF tournaments were x360 based.

All the competitve SF aspect, JP and WW was mostly 360 based.

While i doubt that is true, would bringing it out on the X1 help that fact in any way?

The 360 was the console of choice for Capcom fighters just for the simple reason that the 360 versions usually ran the best.

They no doubt sponsor they events. Like they do a lot of Gaming tournaments, I would presume unless they can't they just put the game on 360 instead of the format it should be, PC.

On topic, I don't think much, the cross platform thing  and 'help' is more a reason it's not on Xbox than because Sony who we know said they don't do that and have no money paid them.

Hmm, pie.

Why would I lie?

I was giving the reason for the user to have said

For the godsake don't read into what I said that much, it's tiring.

Resi Revelations 2 would sell more on vita then if it was on wii u

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

So? Instead of migrate to xb one, it did to ps4. Its the same thing. Don't know if hated_individual was going for this or some other thing, but this one doesn't make much sense.

Well, i just want to point out that no one answered my question. You say not to read into it, but its a strong statement. I dont see how this is a middle finger at all given those reasons.

They can still use the 360 for the tournaments. SFV, they would never be able to use it, so i dont know how porting it to the X1 would help that in any way. Everyone still needs to buy a new system. Given GGX3rd is on the PS4 aswell i think it was great for the Japanese.

I'd much love to see a lot of concrete evidence to show that Sony are "helping" capcom with SFV development, as in the whole deal for it to be equally compared to what Nintendo did with Bayo 2 because right now it hardly seems that way since Bayo 2 wouldn't of actually happened at all without Nintendo's help yet SFV would happen 100% even without Sony's help, it's not 100% the same exact deal and situation at all.

Not same but a much better deal, PS4 is the console of this gen.  Capcon can see this and is going all for PS4 as it will cost them almost no sales over all whiel ill help with dev by having Sonys support.  They picked the right horse to bank on this gen.

Skipping out on Xbox this gen will cost them millions of sales. They'd be pretty dumb to do so without some sort of compensation  from Sony. Exclusivity for a huge franchise like Street Fighter is a big deal.

Also, I'm not buying the whole cross play excuse. This isn't an MMO. there's no reason why Xbox gamers can't just play with themselves, like they've been doing for the past decade.

Is that what you are saying ?

I doubt that. Besides, porting to the Wii U means the game won't be downgraded. Console ports like Borderlands 2 to the Vita don't end so well.

Probably not that much, considering the prospective sales of SFV on Xbox One, and the potential sales increase on PS4 due to increased awareness.
