Forums - Gaming Discussion - How much money did Sony pay Capcom?

They helped the development just like they are helping in game engine of Deep down so there is close collaboration between them instead of just paying money to remove Xbox version. But tomb raider is money hat by paying to take the PS4 and PC versions and only doing Xbox one and 360 versions.

Such hypocrisy, I don't even know why I'm suprised. Phil Spencer specifically talks about partnering and funding the game in some way.

Not enough to keep it exclusive

They're probably footing the bill for distribution and marketing.

As for RE:R2 on Vita. As were seeing from the smaller devs. Its a very scalable system allowing ports from the 7th gen home consoles. Telltale are also putting their stuff on it but not 3DS (not sure if telltalesupport Wii U) I think its literally a matter of it doesn't take much in resources to get the game up and running, and in Japan Vita is currently the second system. A 3DS port would have needed a lot more reworking.

And about Resi Revelations 2. They're porting it to the Vita, where it will sell worse than a Wii U port.

Do you really think the Vita version of RE:R2 will sell less than 200k units?

Don't say "it sold poorly on the Wii U" arguement. If you say that, why are they porting it to PS3 and 360? Those versions sold so poorly for a 160m userbase.

We don't know how many units of each RE:R1-version were sold. The retail sales of the home console versions are a very bad indicator. It was perceived as a smaller download title (just like AC3: Liberation HD), not a full retail game... even if it could fill a whole DVD. The main revenue on each home console for these kind of titles will be from digital sales.

I'd much love to see a lot of concrete evidence to show that Sony are "helping" capcom with SFV development, as in the whole deal for it to be equally compared to what Nintendo did with Bayo 2 because right now it hardly seems that way since Bayo 2 wouldn't of actually happened at all without Nintendo's help yet SFV would happen 100% even without Sony's help, it's not 100% the same exact deal and situation at all.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see
