A couple questions...

Do people still play Warcraft II online? If so where and how many actually play it?

Are there any games that are like warcraft II that are coming out on the Wii?

Site seems to be down right now but I there are still people playing war2 at http://server.war2.ru.  Not many peeps left on bnet these days.

Command & Conquer 3 just came out on the 360. Not too much for strategy on consoles in general usually, Fire Emblem (Turn-based strategy I think) is coming on the Wii soon and there's some Turn-based and real-time strategy on the DS of varying quality, Final Fantasy 12: Revenant Wings (real-time light), Age of Empire (turn-based), Advance Wars: DS (turn-based), probably others.

What the crap DKII? He wasn't asking for Final Fantasy games on DS. At any rate, supposedly, there might be C&C 3 support on Wii at some point. However, if you want console RTS'es, get a 360. It already has BFME2 and C&C3, and should be getting other games shortly like Overlord, Kingdom Under Fire, ect. Fire Emblem is turn based, not RTS or anything close to it. IMO, if your wanting warcraft-esque games, please, just get a PC and be done with it!

FF12:RW on the DS is a RTS, mentioning that is no different than bringing up the 360 ones, calm yourself down.

Well I have a PC, but I would wonder if my PC could run newer games. I bought the thing for the sole purpose of sending email and browsing the internet. What PC games are warcraft-esque games?

There's a lot of PC games between Warcraft II and the games coming out today, including a Warcraft III. Check the spec requirements on the retail boxes or websites to see if your comp can handle it.
