Forums - Gaming Discussion - Sony proves Vita lives on - 16 Vita games announced at PSX

Where is Digimon? Or a new look at Oreshinka for the west?

How weird is it that Sony gives more attention to old/multi platform indie titles then they give to the AA Japanese exclusive releases that look like they could actually shift a few consoles. Persona and FFX are amongs the Vita's best selling games, that tells us something....

But...zero exclusives. :(

Vita owners don't care about that because Vita owners own a Vita and want to play games on their Vita.

  • MLB:The Show 15 to Vita
  • Geometry Wars 3 to Vita
  • Bastion to Vita
  • Need For Speed:Most Wanted free for limited time for 20th Anniversary
  • Shovel Knight to Vita
  • Suikoden 1 & 2 to Vita on December 9th (NA)
  • TowerFall Ascension to Vita
  • Octodad: Dadliest Catch to Vita
  • Super Time Force Ultra to Vita
  • The Banner Saga to Vita
  • Resident Evil: Revelations 2 to Vita
  • Broken Age to Vita
  • Grim Fandango Remastered on Jan 27th
  • Day of the Tentacle: Special Edition
  • Severed to Vita
Most of them are either known to be very good or assumed to become good!

Every single game released is a port or a multiconsole title.  Most of them are indies.  One is already on the Vita, another, like all PSX games, should have been on the Vita since day one.

That's like saying Playstation 4 owners don't care about exclusives because Playstation 4 owners own a Playstation 4 and want to play games on their Playstation 4.

Added a new game coming to PS4 and PSV - Darkest Dungeon. We're up to 16!

So what? The same can be said for most console libraries except Nintendo's barring a few exclusive titles. The message is that Vita lives on with great game support next year and hopefully the year after. I must say I didn't expect anything for Vita at PSX.

Am i the only one who prefers this lineup to WiiUs 2015 lineup?

Yep. People want games on the consoles/handhelds they own and don't give a damn if you can play that game elsewhere. For instance, I don't care if 90% of all the games on the PS4 can be played on the XB1/PC because I don't own those systems ...

That's why this argument is and always has been stupid. It's just yet another nonsensical point, made specifically to artificially reduce the value of a particular piece of hardware. It's exacly the same as the stupid debate about which console has the most games.

You don't give a damn if you can play that game elsewhere, but you would give a damn if a game you want can't be played on the console you have.

That's a huge reason why people buy an especific console: to play its exclusives. Otherwise, why didn't people bother buying a Gamecube or a Xbox back in its day? They were more powerful consoles than Ps2, that's a fact.

Except one flaw in your reasoning.  Except for Geometry Wars 3, I'll be able to play every one of those games on my PS3 or PC

It doesn't make the Vita look appealing to anyone that doesn't own a Vita nor does it interest me when it's games that I can play and/or have played on my PS3, PC, and PSX.
