Forums - Sony Discussion - Until Dawn looks fantastic! why is nobody shown it some love!?

Nope. I could maybe take the extremely boring teeny horror setting but that clip turned me off completely.
It doesn't even try to be anything more than a cheap horror flick that is sporting all the tropes that make this genre a complete joke.

Unless they rebrand it as a comedy game instead of pretend horror i'm not interested.

It's meant to be a cheap horror flick... and those are pretend horror by design.

As an uninterested observer, the interactive demo deserves an applause for not trying to be serious and failing miserably at it in the procees. Looking at you, B3yond.

The guy who was playing the game wasn't trying to sell it as something more than it is either. He gets extra plus points for that.

Good concept. Dismal demo. Need to see more footage. Would have liked to see a Siren game with this style of gameplay.

No one's talking about it because they're talking about Uncharted, The Order and Bloodborne. Until Dawn looks pretty good, but I need to see more.

I love it, but here it's more a matter of taste.  I like this genre, I'll stay tuned.

Love the concept of the game, like the idea of permadeath and of branching plotlines depending on choices.
After seeing gameplay yesterday, it has firmly moved into Top3 anticipated Sony games this year (Uncharted, MLB The Show).

You ever try Heavy Rain?

Loved Beyond: Two Souls. But could not get into HR at all. Played it about 4-5 hours and gave up - just too depressing, I guess...

Its niche

I personally thought it looked awesome.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Its interesting in a David cage way, but its nothing to be excited about gameplay wise.

Looked good to me too. To a lot of people, if it isn't 1st, 3rd person shooter or a sports game it isn't a game. I liked the later play through, where they were playing it live and people were shouting out what to do at each option. I was just waiting for the option to throw the towel at the bad guy, so I was dissapointed.
