Not just Yakuza, but some of their other games, too, like Shining Resonance and especially Phantasy Star Nova

yes, you can. Yakuza 4 is a perfect title for beginner, because in the menü... is the "yakuza-historie" (yakuza 1-3 with cutscenes) = )
