Not buying a game because of its cover?! O_O

I haven't followed MLB in a really long time but I guess this guy is really hated. lol! xD

Ive never cared who was on the cover of any of my sports games. Heck i dont care what the cover of my games in general look like, its whats inside that counts.

Puig is awesome and this is coming from a Yankees fan. The people bitching seem to be mostly Giants and Angels fans. There are even some people bitching because Jeter's not on the cover. They obviously wouldn't be buying the game anyway as they don't understand that rarely do retired players get put on covers. It's done to be gimmicky like with Jordan and Sanders recently getting on NBA 2K and Madden NFL.

He's perfectly deserving of being on the cover. No other current player in the game of baseball makes this throw and plenty of players toss their bats.

As a die hard baseball fan this is why the game is dying. No personality and some strange fascination with refusing to market or advance the sport because of rules that aren't written.

This is why people hate puig. He does a tiny fraction of the "celebrating" thats part of any sport. Like, ever. Poor baseball. Keep fighting the good fight all the way to obscurity.

The cover player for MLB is selected by the players themselves. It's not Sony's choice.

That is such a dumb reason not to get a game. I think that from a publicity pov it worked wonders.

I didn't realize this was such a big deal. I know this wont affect sales because there isn't any other baseball franchise out there. So if they want to be stubborn and not pick up this game, then let them wait 2 years while everyone else is having fun.

Guess so but most countries did not get Ronaldo on the cover... it was messi + someone popular from that region?

They should let people make their own covers then.
