I feel SFs popularity is waning in the west. It has become a niche title in franchise and genre.

I would put money on TR releasing on PS4 in 2016. MS would have to pay stupid amounts of money to keep TR off PS4. MS would probably need to fork over about $100 million to make up for TR lost revenue. Perhaps they did pony up that much, but man that would be crazyness.

Same might not be the case for SFV. But if SFV does stay console exclusive to PS4 then Super Street Fighter V will be multi. Which is why it might not have cost Sony as much to make SFV perma-exclusive. However I think SFV will be timed just like TR.

Street Fighter of course.

-The game has a bigger history and the franchise is much older.
-Street Fighter 4 is currently the biggest fighting game in the competitive scene, which I remind you was mostly on 360 if you ever watched EVO (Even though Sony sponsored it) or other competitive tournaments.
-PS4 has Uncharted 4 so PS fans won't be missing much
-SFV won't be forgotten after a month

Niche title , yeah right. Its the most competetive fighting game worldwide. Also SF4 has been the main event in EVO ever since release and will continue to be until SFV.

Like Ryse and other Xbox exclusives? Oh wai...

The way I see it both Xbox and Playstation win with that Tomb Raider deal.

1. Xbox gets to have Tomb Raider over the Holiday period

2. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End doesn't have the competition

3. 2015 is already shaping up to be something special for PS4 owners, so Tomb Raider coming out in 2016, might not be a bad idea.

SFIV tapped into a certain nostalgia for Street Fighter and it looked really cool at the time. Looking at the drop off in sales with the Super and Ultra versions of SFIV (or SF x Tekken), I don't know if the nostalgia crowd will be back, so only the hardcore will buy it.

TR should be a mainstream hit that will sell to the mass market. I assume there will be a bundle (and a themed console as well). Therefore, TR will be the bigger deal, but SF could surprise and capture the zeitgeist again.

I am hoping for a SF-themed PS4 though :)

Im saying Xbox One has its own fighter for over a year, and its a great game in its own right. Also saying at least the fighting genre won't be something X1 is lacking in just because it doesn't get SF4.
