What Are the Top 5 Characters That Are Easiest to Use for beginners/Casuals/etc?

Imo Mario is definitely easy to learn and isnt complicated so i vote him especially over his slippery twin brother XD

Kirby (Suck and Jump + Down B)
Metaknight (Spam that tornado and Side B)
Bowser
Charizard (Spam that side B)

Mario, balanced character with some easy to learn powerful combos.
Marth/Lucina, powerful moves and quite a bit of easy combo potential
Link, good projectiles and normal attacks
Pac Man, good special attacks and recovery
Pit/Dark Pit, good recovery, special and neutral attacks

I think Samus teaches the basics pretty well, she'll give you a simple charge-shot to play around with. She'll encourage good play while some other characters (like my dear sweet Kirby) can be good BUT for beginners can be too easy to spam and therefore lose efficiency with.
