Nintendo HDS When?

2016 102 30.72%

2017 230 69.28%

Total:332

When do you think the 3DS' successor will release?

Also in my opinion I don't think Fusion is true from Iwata's comments I take that as a common operating system like iOS.

I know this is old news but I want to share what I think and see what other people think.

I say 2017 and 2018 at the latest cause the n3ds hasn't even come out in NA yet... It makes zero sense to launch a device for less than a year and then release a new device a year later that is the "next gen equivalent." Its a bad business move and Nintendo would be stupid to do so

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Firstly it wont be HD =P Been talking about this over on the Pokemon in HD thread.
Secondly I say first half of 2017 with a reveal at E3 2016. 2015 will be all about New 3DS in US/EU and then 2016 will be that typical slow year where we get nothing while we wait for the next console.

Lot of people thought end of 2015, early 2016.

I think it depends on N3DS, Earliest imo is Holiday 2016, so i'll say 2017

Loll hell yea! If they were to release the HDS in 2016, they would have to announce it either in mid to late 2015/early 2016/e3 2016 and if they are going to launch the n3ds in mid to late 2015, announcing the HDS would butcher the n3ds sales which lowered the 3ds sales! Its like, why would they go through all the trouble to make soo many improvements on the n3ds such as better cpu, better camera, better 3d, more buttons and a c-stick if they didn't want to support the n3ds for less than a year essentially? It would legit make zero sense

Wouldn't suprise me at all if the next nintendo handheld is sub 720p resolution. Especially if they continue with the whole 3d thing.

My bet is it'll launch 2017... I would have said 2016 but that new 3ds.....

will be announced at E3 2016 and release one year later

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

N3DS/XL is what the DSI/XL was!So two years and a half...!I will say just that because my beloved jizzy covered me!Nintendo 3DS is like ps4,so it's first concern is to grow the installbase to the maximum!Currently guys New3ds/xl saved 3ds in Japan,I mean that it made it to sell what it was selling in its peak year 2013 and if this happen in USA/EU it would be great...It is feasible because it seems that many are waiting the new models! So at minimum 3DS can reach 80m thanks to New3ds/xl and this need two years and little more to happen!
