Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Exclusives in the Top 20 for 2014 are ALL from Nintendo

Do tell on what other device I can play Infamous second son on PC. Horizon 2 is not on this list and since COD is the best game according to that list I call it a shitty list, also TLOU R isn't on the list while GTA V is. Still look at all those game you can't play on WII U, but you can on the PS4/XBO so who is the real winner here.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

I suggest either a mod or the OP fixes the OP.

The title does not match the content:

1. top 20 (it's top 19 at best)

2. "ALL from Nintendo": Neither Yokai Watch or Monster Hunter 4g are FROM Nintendo.

"top 20": what exactly? Best selling games? Best games according to metacritic?

As for the argument presented, it's clearly flawed. You can't determine a consoles library solely based on its top selling exclusives.

1. You're using Yokai Watch as an example???? Please advise me as to what other platforms that game is being released on??? Last time I checked it was a Nintendo exclusive game. With SSBU knocking out Infamous (most likely next week) it will count as Titanfall is released on more than 1 platform. Before resorting to adhominems and name calling as you cannot provide an intelligent argument, check the facts before embarrassing yourself.

2.The Op's English may not be the best but if you had a modicum of intellect you can understand the point he is trying to get across. The PS4 & Xbone do not have games (good ones this year) hence why they are selling so poorly that none are listed in the top 20. The only one's listed were over hyped multiplatform games that failed to meet expectations. Being ridiculous? What world do you live in? Maybe you should think before speaking if you don't want to be called out on your posts!

Lol XD. The OP said games FROM Nintendo and OWNED BY Nintendo. This is clear to all people in this thread but you. Several others have pointed out YW and MH. Calm the fuck down, follow your own advice and read. You're fuming, lol XD.

Honestly, what are you doing? Other than embarrassing yourself. Keep digging that hole. ;)

Nintendo "owns" the exclusive rights to that handleheld game. Does it appear on PS Vita, IOS or Android? No, it doesn't. It would be in the same manner that prior to acquisition, Microsoft owned Gears of War. These are not very difficult concepts to understand and it baffles me as to why you are being so thick headed and cannot just admit that you were wrong. You must be a Taurus.

Calm Down? I find this rather amusing! If I recall in one of your previous tempertantrum responses you said  "Now stop being ridiculous, admit you and the OP are wrong, and leave me alone." Seems like you are the one who is angry sir!

What am I doing? Well, I am simply pointing out the flaws in your argument. Embarrassing myself? It might seem difficult for you to do this but lets try not copying and pasting everything I say and putting it in your responses : ) Think for yourself, it'll do you good!  I've made my point but I have no problem continuing this as I believe at some point (though you probably won't admit it) common sense will sink in and you will see the error of your ways. It will be my good deed for the month.

Actually, Im not even sure how this thread has remained open. It is terrible, the OP is wrong and the entire thread itself is poor.

Locking.

This thread was a fun read lol. The OP is kind of flawed IMO. PS4/XBO games get called generic shooters and fifa(despite minecraft, Infamous SS, Watchdogs AND GTA V being in the list). Yet the 200th version of pokemon(yes I am exaggerating gets a pass and I am a HUGE pokemon fan by the way), the what 20th iteration of Monster Hunter and the 8th iteration of MK gets a pass....no bias there at all -_-.......

And out of the 3 "next-gen consoles" the only console with less than 2 games on the list is the Wii U with MK8. Which is the console most people had an issue with regarding games even the NIN fans. Though personally Hyrule Warriors and Bayo 2 looks awesome to me! So for me this list shows a lot of variety for the PS4/XB1 games wise. 3rd party games have always sold more than most 1st party games so that is also not a sign of something bad. I guess I just don't get the point the OP is trying to make. This thread seems a little fishy if you ask me.....

If I have a big enough harddrive I can download ALL my steam games and I can even play them when steam might go the way of the THQ dodo. Thanks to Offline mode. That wont work with PS+ or XBO "free" games.

And most people these days buy a game play it and then sell it. So if I lose access to a $3 dollar game in 6 years who cares. It was a $3 dollar game. And I got my value out of it already. Its like a videogame rental store the difference is that I can keep the games not only for 1 day or so but for 10 years. .......................

I think that you unfortunately don't know how Steam works. I'm not talking about online. If the servers of a game are shutdown, I can't play them online on consoles, right. But the single player works. This is true for both physical and digital copies.

On Steam, if the DRM servers are shutdown, you games won't open anymore. No single player, no multiplayer, nothing. And offline mode won't avoid it. Offline mode is just a big time you have before a DRM check. After the time runs out, you either reconnect and do another check or you won't play anymore. That's why I dislike Steam. You talked about PS+. The games are free (with the subscription), and everytime I download one a popup remember me of the rules to keep it. Don't like it? Buy retail, buy digital and it's yours. Steam doesn't say "Hey, you aren't buying, just renting for unlimited time!", because that sounds a bit to bad.

As you said, if they remove a game of the store, maybe you can't download it anymore. But I can always have a backup of my HDD or simply use retail. The game is mine, it belongs to me. The only way to change this is to come to my house and take it away. Steam can just pull the plug and wait for the game to stop working. Very easy. Most people buy and sell? Well, I don't. I have all my SMS cartridges and PS1/2 games. As I said, I like to own what I buy.

Of course, PC has its exclusives. But by far there are way more AAA games that are console exclusive or at least are timed exclusives. Depending on your preferences, you will want to buy one or another. You are saying that timed exclusive is irrelevant because you wait months anyway, but that just personal. I usually buy games at launch or even preorder if I like them, so for me it is absolutely necessary.

And PC ports usually have their fair share of bugs. First, you have the problems that show that nobody tested: console FoV without any way to change it (you break some textures on Wolfenstein, even if the game has a built-in slider for it), GTA IV with huge requirements, Thief with severe stuttering and massive tearing, Darkisiders 2 with 3 lines of tearing on the screen and so on. You even used AC as an example, but the game is barely playable on all platforms. It demands a GTX680 as minimum, how is that a good example? It is another proof that PC gets bad ports. Well, at least on this case I think everyone got bad ports :D

And as an last note, you have to be more informed about PS+. It works offline too, just like Steam. I renewed my subscription 2 months ago. If I pull my network plug on my consoles, the games will work for 10 more months until the subscription time runs out.

I have a laptop that was not online for at least 1 year and I can still play all my Steam games because I downloaded the ones I wanted to play and then started offline mode. Back then I had to turn on offline mode because there was no in-home-streaming. So going online with the laptop kicked my PC out of my account and I had to relog into the account everytime.

I also played on my secondary PC today. The PC was not used for at least 4 months now. And I was able to launch several games like Borderlands2 without any issues whatsoever.

And I am not talking about the newest Assassins Creed i have never played it since its not yet sub 10 on steam. I am talking about the sub 30FPS games called 3 "4" etc. I cant even make the games run at 30 FPS on PC if I wanted to.

About PS+ You again didnt get what I said. IF PS+ as a service is closed you cannot pay your monthly fee. Therefore you cannot access your "rented" games that are included in the PS+ membership.
