Forums - Website Topics - Who lives in Seattle? I'm there right now

So, yeah... I'm in Seattle right now and wondered who here lives in the area? Do you have any tips of things to see and do, and any good restaurants I should eat at or pubs to drink at?

Cheerio!

Hey man, I was JUST there on vacation! Seattle's awesome! I was in Portland as well. Portland is decent, but I loved Seattle. So did my buddy. One of my favorite cities I've been to.

Anyways, must-see sites:
1. Space needle. We didn't even go up bc it was expensive. Just seeing it up close is cool enough though.
2. Fish market. This is almost as famous as the space needle. Gotta go. If sales are low when you're there, just ask one of the dudes if they'll put on a little show for u. That's what I did. There was a dude with black hair I talked to. He was so cool. Just yelled to one of the other guys there and they started doing their thing. In case u don't know, this is where they throw the huge fish back and forth whenever they make a sale.
3. World's first Starbucks. Sweet to see. It's 2 blocks down from the fish market.
4. Bruce Lee's cemetery. It's on the outskirts of Seattle. Cool to see.
5. Waterfall garden. This is a hidden gem! Maybe u won't find it as cool as me and my buddy, but it's just this mini waterfall and garden with sitting areas right in the middle of the city. Part of the reason it was so cool is bc we stumbled on it. Never actually knew about it before.
6. The falls/hotel from the show Twin Peaks. I never saw the show Twin Peaks before, but I thought it was cool to see these falls anyways. Now I've since started watching the show, and it feels cool to see the intro showing the falls knowing I was there. The falls are about 30min outside of Seattle. The famous Twin Peaks diner from the show is also nearby. Went there too. Cool!

Reach out with your right hand for the first neon sign you see.

Restaurants:
I'd say #1 for my buddy and I was breakfast at the Americana. Gotta get their French toast. Most unique French toast I've ever had. Really good.
I'm actually realizing we didn't do as many restaurants as I thought. Was only there for 2 days total.
Did MOD Pizza the one night for dinner. Like Subway for pizza--go down the line and pick all ur toppings, etc.
Queen Bee cafe was good for a breakfast. Their specialty is pancake like muffins. Pretty good.

So, why are u in Seattle??

The neon is so cool. It's one of the really cool characteristics of the city.
