In that order imo.

Lol no.... If the day of tomorrow PS4 don't have FIFA or COD and XBO does, for example, you can cut the price all you want of the PS4, but XBO will sell a lot better. It's been since forever and always will be:
GAMES > PRICE > POWER
The fact that multiplats like COD, GTA or FIFA are the best sellers is not because they're multiplats; they're multiplats because they're the best sellers.
Price is not the most important factor, never has been, it helps of course, but it's always second to the games. PS2 wasn't the cheaper console back then and trounced the competition.

extremes huh?
...and if you console cost $5000 you wont sell any. Lets not be silly about this.
In this case, as in last gen, the two consoles have pretty much the same library, therefore the cost is THE most important factor.

You say my point is extreme??? It's not but you saying the $5000 line is absolutely absurd. Come on, be serious. If I'm Microsoft and say I sell you my console for $100, but then I say I'll spent the money supporting terrorism, you won't buy my console, don't you??? So public image > price then (THAT'S EXTREME).
You have Iphone costing $1000 outselling most phones that cost more than than half, why then?
In the real world, with reasonable pricing, games is still a more important factor than price. You can sell me a WiiU for 100€ and I'll never buy it, because I don't want it, but I paid 400€ at launch for a PS4. It's rational or it's crazy? Why I did that if price is more important than everything else? Why most people in the world did the same??
