Is this where I come in and repeat once more that the battle for US and UK is not over?

news to me?
what are yieldgate (do u talk about the cobat rumor bullshit, that was nothing more than just wrong?) and grassgate?

Yeildgate is what I call the early September 2013 when MS cut in half the tier 1 countries for launch and the rumours that the XOne was suffering from fault hardware specially the APU component that supposedly got downclocked to gain bettle production yeilds.

Or this:

For everyone asking- this information is all pretty recent. Around the PlayStation Meeting the Xbox One was way behind (OS + hardware). Engineers were scrambling to get things sorted out.

It turns out, they didn't sort it out. The OS you saw was a complete and total lie. The current plan is to get the yields up, lower the clock rate, and to have enough units out for a sell out in the Fall.

For those asking how this affects performance- to be perfectly frank; it is nothing turning down features won't solve. The mass market will never notice a difference between 1080p and 900p; neither will they care about dynamic shadows / global illumination / or tesselation. Go to your PC - and turn shadows from Ultra to medium, disable tesselation, and lower the resolution to 900p; and you'll find games run totally fine.

Microsoft is purely behind and it's now time to make drastic decisions. I don't think any one is happy about the lower clocks, but no one is depressed about it either. The Xbox One is an all-in-on device; and that's how it will be marketed.

And the Thuway part we know is total BS.

ahh. lol yes. gtav
right...

that yieldgate rumor was so funny. we have yieldproblems and increase the clock speed of the cpu
we have yieldproblems but overship the first two quarter.
we have yieldproblems, so we delay tier 2 countries nealy one year, beside having tons of stock on shelfs and ship below 1m xb1 in the third quarter

Price+Multiplat Games+Exclusive Games. Those are the three main factors and it has all three of those.

yeah pretty much what i've been saying. All of those are major contributors to it's sales in the UK and US.

Exclusive XOne games didn't sell nearly as expected.  NA and UK do care more about games like GTAV and COD.

I would say the reason is because of these 3 factors : Price cut, free games, very cheap price. That's all. Once the fire sales are over, all will be back to standard.

lol MCV quoting infoscout. can we wait for real numbers. MCV is reliable as VGCHARTZ

Don't start this... We've always taken MCV numbers. Now that they report that the Xbox One won narrowly you discredit them?

funny, just a few weeks ago some xbox guys were discrediting MCV around the same time PS4 was announced to hit 1 million. now xbox is doing good and sony guys are discrediting them. MCV are as official as UK numbers get, sony and ms even use them, but there will always be people who deny the numbers, just like some people on here didnt believe NPD numbers lol.

Yes, its over. The X1 is going to win both markets hands down and we are merely looking at its beginning

Green Domination!!!

Since the start of the month of November I have always though that Xbox One was the best deal in my eyes. Since the price cut have been announced and the games bundle for free with the price cut, the games being bundle being heavily marketed toward the Xbox One (mostly in US and UK), plus the awaiting of MCC (with most people thinking if there is one week Xbox One would win WW it would be the MCC week). It's not just price. in US and UK there should still be a lot of people waiting to by a Xbox One, this deal must have been the deal breaker for many of those. And when MS suggests that those deals will or might only be available during the holiday, people will be quick to grab them.

Its doubtful it will outsell the PS4 in europe for the week though.

Wow, both Sony and MS were so competitive with pricing and bundles there. The UK is probably gonna be the most interesting market to track sales in this gen.
