Forums - Sony Discussion - Was 2012 Yearly Sales Vita's Peak WW? Or Will It Get A Bigger Year Later? Thoughts!

Vita's Current Peak year, 2012 stands tall and almost beaten by 2013 yearly sales. But do you think it will remain its Peak?

Vita Sales WW Yearly

2011 ●0.482mil (Only Japan Launch and just 3 weeks of sales)

2012 ●3.674mil

2013 ●3.205mil

2014 ●1.779mil (as of Nov 22nd and Might be undertracked cuz of Vita TV)

Japan has been rising every year since it began, but it strongest region now has many of its big franchise games shared with ps4, momentum will be much lower going into 2015 than it did going into 2014.

Of course there are revisions/price cuts/etc. This is why im asking. Do you guys think Vita hasnt peaked yet or was 2012 definitely its Peak?

Post your thoughts here...

I think it peaked unless Sony really makes a push with it which I doubt they will

I wouldn't say its done, it gets a ton of support and honestly though i cant see Sony bringing-up another HH for at least another 6-7 years, i see vita being supported for a long while

It's dead Jim.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

I honestly don't think that the Vita will ever have a better year than 2012 hardware wise. Even with a price cut there simply isn't any upcoming software that could push the system outside of Japan. It's a pity because the PSP is still my favorite handheld and I really wanted the Vita to succeed but it's just not happening.

It's done. Even in japan, where it's selling g best, is still pathetic.it's been finished for a long time.

I'm still hoping for the Vita to make a dramatic comeback, because I own one and I'd obviously like more games to be released for it.

But I'm not wildly optimistic. :(

Keep hoping, man! Hope dies last after all!

It's done, really sad because it has a lot of potential, I really thought that the vita was going to be huge but well we will never know.
