Forums - Gaming Discussion - Konami Should make PES Playstation Exclusive

if you own a PS4 and PES you could play it on your Vita via remote play. It kinda makes making a vita version pointless when you think about it but in japan alone it would outsell the X1 version.

The lag and 30fps would kill it. Native Vita ver would be epic.

no it wouldn't kill it. it would be better with a ps vita version but if i was in my same house the remote play from the ps4 would be better.

There's a reason football games target 60fps in game gameplay. If you find the halved frame rate AND input lag (meaning you aren't even seeing what's currently happening, it's delayed making anticipation much more difficult) you are either the worlds greatest Pro Evo player, or in fact.. no you must just be a god *bows*

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

So one minute you were saying the online is fine for Titanfall now you're saying that they needed to give it away for a tenth of the iriginal price just to keep it alive? Hell they've een giving the game away for free to many since the game launched. Doesn't sound very promosing for me. Obviously people aren't sticking with it. I play BF4 and that game has sold comparable numbers on PS4 to Titanfall on X1. The difference being on PS4 a shit load of people still playing and the game is still being sold a year later for a very good price. That to me tells me one game is good and the other average. Titanfall great idea, lazy execution. It's barebones stuff and half the game it should have been. A bit like Destimy. And Infamous SS, if nobody is playing that Sony cares, because the number of people buying and playing it decides what they can charge for it.

Sony's first party is fine but you're ignoring the over all picture, a lot of their top studios couldn't make games for the PS4's first year because they were tied up supporting the PS3 unlike MS. And heavily supported for the last 3 years, again unlike MS. Just because they haven't all dipped their toe in PS4's water doesn't mean their 1st party line up is weak. The only diff between them and MS is, MS went and paid a lot of money to match Sony's first year. They won't compete when all SOny's first party games are releasing because they've hardly any of their own studios making AAA games.

Sony still have money as you know but they don't need to crush anybody. They can sell 130M this gen and the Xbox can sell 70M. It doesn't affect them and they don't plan on throwing away a boat load of profit just to bury MS. Moneyhatting when the PS2 was selling like thePS4 and the GC and Xbox were selling like the Wii U wasn't expensive. Now it is and is going to be craxy expensive for MS for the rest of this gen now that PS4 is dominating WW. It will be truly sad if they keep paying the upped prices for the next few years because that's bad for the industry. They should just buy/create new studios and make their own new games. That's a win win for the industry but it's not the MS way.

You conveniently ignore the fact that Sony during the PS2 days had way more studios than MS do now. Yes they moneyhatted but at the same ime they put most of their efforts into making loads of awesome games. Imagine all the gems we would have missed out on if they spent all that money securing more exclusives. MS did very well with the 360 thanks  in part to Sony slipping up. They could have invested big time in first party and had a load of exclusive games made by them coming every year for the last few years of the 360's life. That would have given them big momentum into this gen and those devs could be making lots of awesome X1 exclusives for the X1 right now. You know next year Xbox might of actually had something to rival bloodbourne and the order. But no, MS are in it for the quick buck, the smash and grab. no long term vision. And that is why I believe they did have a chance this gen unlike you. They just went about the console business the wrong way.

Finally the PS3 did open the door WW for the xbox but with MS jumping into the gen a year early and 1.5 years in the EU they were always going to do decent either way with the way MS supported the console and with games like Halo and Gears so popular at the time.

They wouldn't have sold 80M if the PS3 did everything right and the PS3 would be well over 100M by now but the 360 would have made it over 50M no matter what SOny done. I'm pretty sure if MS had only double the sales of the previous Xbox they would have supported it for it's last 3 years and hit the ground running with the X1. But they had it too easy and got cocky. Bad idea under estimating Sony, the kings of home consoles.

I'm saying the population of Titanfall is still better than you've been lead to believe. But they need to stimulate sales to make sure it stays that way, especially with other popular shooters hitting the market. A game like Infamous SS doesn't need to maintain a healthy online population. Also, lets not forget Killzone 3 and and Uncharted 3 multiplayer went free to play. Maintaining a strong population with other popular games on the market isn't always easy.

By the way, I played a little Titanfall and the population is nearly 10K. So they did a pretty job stimulating the population.

Not all of Sony's studios were making PS3 games. Also, the companies that were focused on PS4 games have underwhelmed. That's the real issue.

Sorry, I didn't bother responding to most things you said. You spend too much time ranting.

They dropped the price to next to nothing after only 8 months for a reason. People are not sticking with the game. Not like they do with COD or Battlefield. The sales are good just like they are for killzone but the online (in both) is just lacking that something special that keeps players playing. Also the fact AW kinda plays like it doesn't help. Killzone 3 went free to play and i can see why. That games online should be gone down the battlield field route where you can fly things around and drive tanks etc on big maps. It's basically just COD with better graphics and more realistic controls. Not what people want. I know Uncharted 3 went free to play but i platinumed the game this year and did the online trophies. Still plenty playing that. Enough to get full games in all modes anyway. DIdn't stand out as anything too special but i suppose the co-op was fun.

Not all them were making PS3 games no. SOme were making PC and some making Vita. Just further proves that SOny have better first party devs than MS who rely so heavily on moneyhatting to make up the numbers. The comment on it;s exclusives under performing is not completely true. Killzone performed as expected and got OK reviews. No worse than titles like Dead Rising 3 or Ryse on Xbox. Infamous is a top top game and is the best in the series so far. TLOU was the game of the generation and plays even better on PS4. Knack I haven't played but you could say it under performed. Driveclub online big time. MLB: The Show is a great game. So you can prob see why I disagree with your "all companies that focused on PS4 games have underperformed." statement. That's clear false. Anyway how many  exclusives developed by MS have released and been well made? No more than Sony and unlike them 2015 is looking baron until the end.

And don't be sorry for me pointing out facts, or as you put it ranting.

PS. DOn't forget what this thread is about and if you feel you can come up with a better line then "maybe MS will moneyhat them and help PES" out feel free to post it. Because the option of PS exclusivity over Xbox exclusity is a no brainer really. Just the reality of selling 13 times more on the PS4. That rhymes :)

There is definitely truth to that, people aren't sticking to Titanfall like some other popular shooters. But it still has a good size population pre Black Friday and its even better now. They didn't need to cut the price as much as they have but I'm glad they did to sell even more copies. Its a multiplayer game and the more people that have Titanfall the better.

Sony's PC games were underwhelming, their Vita games were underwhelming (and sold poorly), and their PS4 games were underwhelming. Maybe Sony was spreading themselves too thin? Anyhow, the Vita is a failure and PS3 support is pretty much done. Now they can focus on making better games for PS4.

I'm fine with you making points. But I kinda just skim through your posts because you ramble. Look at my responses, short and simple.

If the PES series has improved the sales should go up on Playstation and Xbox. There was actually a time when that series sold pretty well on Xbox. Maybe Konami should take a risk and sell the next PES game for $20 (or $30). Take Two did that for NFL2K5 and sales saw a great boost... but then EA bought exclusivity of console NFL games.

Sony would then have two excellent exclusive sports franchises in The Show and PES. Would be a good move for Sony, but I'm not sure about Konami. I'm sure they're making some money of the Xbox.

What am I supposed to believe? Your views or those of a number of other X1 owners? Is less than 10k online good for a game that sold over 2M? I just don't see why the price has dropped so much in such a short space of time. MS practically gave the game away the month of release and the bundle is the highest xbox bundle for the year. You have games like Battlefield selling for half it's price a year after release and there is some difference in revenue taken in by both games despite almost equal sales (PS4 BF vs X1 TF). They obviously feel they couldn't keep the community alive with the game been sold normally at at normal price.

The games numbers have dropped a lot and 10k WW is not good so soon after release and sales from day 1. The game must have been overhyped and dissapointed many. BF4 sold similar numbers on PS4 and it has about 4 times the active player count per day if your 10k figure is true. And boy did BF4 have a troubled first 8 months.

My posts are detailed and make sense. Yours are just, PS4/PS3/PSV have no good games from SOny devs! Yeah real good points there considering the number of top class Sony developed games. Sony funnily enough made the top selling vita game uncharted and it's a very good game. They've other quality titles on it too like littlebigplanet, flower, journey etc.

PS3 had a shit ton of great Sony games and PS4 has a few good or great so far. Infamous, The Last of US and MLB The show 3 examples.

Maybe if you didn't skim through my detailed replies you would actually see some sense, but feel free to keep repeating yourself and bury your head as deep into the sand as you can!

how is bloodbourne or the order moneyhatted? both are knew ip's created by sony and they hired devs to make them. It's not like it's a 3rd party game that's going to be multiplatform and then they throw 50M at them to keep it PS4 only.

i'll take the words of many more xbox players than you. they prob play the less popular gamemodes. i would try the game out but it's not my type of game. just like i won't buy destiny, call of duty (anymore), halo, bloodbourne etc etc I only buy games I like and don't fall for the hype.

You might want to tell Miyazaki that Sony created Bloodborne, as he gives interviews talking about his inspiration for the setting of the game and his decisions about certain gameplay elements. Doesn't really sound like Sony created the IP at all, sounds more like Sony paid someone to make a game. Which, of course, is fine. But it's just funny to see you crap on one company for doing it and then throwing out two games for PS4 that are not first party.

The bold is funny to me, it's like you're admitting to being ignorant on the matter and almost proud to take flawed input from people as opposed to someone who plays the game every day. Also, I'm just gonna throw it out that you're talking out of your butt about "countless players" and "many xbox players" telling you the game is dead. Either way, since you're admitting they probably "play the less popular gamemodes", maybe stop treating the testimony of these make believe forum members as Gospel? You can take the "less popular game modes" of any game online game and say the community must be struggling.

The reality is if Titanfall was selling well enough the price would have been slashed. Hell even Infamous second Son is still a good bit more expensive.

The funny thing about this quote is you're proving Pugg's point without even realizing it. So Titanfall wouldn't have had a price cut if it sold well enough, and Infamous is still a "good bit more expensive". And yet.. Titanfall on Xbone has outsold Infamous, even with the huge install base difference. So if Titanfall is getting prices slashed due to poor sales, shouldn't Infamous be even lower priced do to lower sales? Or just maybe you're wrong and don't understand that online only games require different strategies to keep the (required) player base stimulated and playing? And at the same time, there's no need for Sony to drop the price of Infamous because of (apparently) low sales. If I buy Infamous today, there could be literally 3 other people in the world playing and it wouldn't affect my experience one bit. But 3 other people playing Titanfall, that's different.

And it worked, by the way. As I said before I only play LTS, probably middle of the pack in terms of player count, and over the last week or so as stores have had pre-BF and BF sales and the digital sales, the playlist has routinely been in the hundreds of players just on my server. Always full rooms. Never waiting for it to find a game.

Uhhh.... Konami needs to keep as many customers as they can at this point and not force xbox/1 users to FIFA.

It's a terrible idea and it will not help Konami at all.

A population under 10K is better is still better than most shooters. The only shooters doing better than that are very popular games.

I'm fine with EA doing whatever they feel is necessary to keep the TItanfall online userbase high. Boosting the population is a good thing, especially since other popular shooters were released. I'm sure it'll be on EA Access in the near future as well.

Your post are rants and I'd recommend trimming them down a bit. Just my advice, but feel free to waste your time typing long responses I skim over.

Uncharted on Vita was a heavily bundled game and they gave it away on PS+. Yet you piss and moan about Titanfall getting a significant price cut? Yeah, okay.

I like that you get so worked up. You remind me to relax a little.
